mid-terms and the way my mind works

the clock ticked faster than usual, but it wasn't the usual fast. honestly, it was way faster than the usually slow speed of time, as i was only halfway through the first test of the day, and the proctor gave us thirty left.

what was nice about the proctor was that he allowed us to request songs for both relaxation and bopping purposes. we went from mac demarco, to 5 seconds of summer, to pentatonix (a.k.a. my idols, don't ask about my taste, i love the members), to boyce avenue, simply put: most of the good stuff.

exams were pretty hard on us, especially now that hard subjects are being mixed with other difficult subjects, and it wasn't fun. the motivation we get from our friends or family only work a little, or worse case scenario, not at all.

--

learning the lessons are sometimes easy, and forgetting them are easier, i sighed.
but the most difficult part of all of it, was trying to fit all of it into your brain if you have other things to remember. i honestly felt that the subject teachers thought we'd apply everything we've learned in our daily lives, but apparently, that's not how it works. we apply some of it, but only for a portion of our lives.

various school lessons tried to make room in my head, and the next lessons too, but they were all at the back of my mind, sometimes not-so dull to be remembered, and sometimes the memories given by that lesson are so dull, only portions of it can reappear vividly in my head.
but i move on, mainly for other important things like life lessons, especially from people i appreciate the most, and that was because i myself knew that academics didn't define the way i was in general.

every single day of my life includes a lesson to be learned. yes, it's not only on tv shows or movies, but there has to be something to be learned. as i'm finishing this, mid-terms are over, but i'm still ready to share my thoughts through writing them down. and i'm thankful for you if you've made it this far!
