Today, me and August decided to have a chill day. He wanted to be up under me all day, I'm guessing he's still cautious after what had happened to Zane and Britt.

I enjoyed the attention and loved how protective he was being.

I'm still upset that the only female friend I ever had was taken away from me. She's the only girl I knew that didn't hate me, didn't act fake or funny towards me. She was always straight up with me and that's what I'm going to miss most about her.

Me and August had just came back from the doctors appointment as well. Everything went good, he just asked the doctors hell a lot of questions, which was cute.

"Bae, I'm hungry." He got up from under the blankets and showed me his stomach. "You see I'm gettin' skinnier?" He chuckled.

"Go eat then." I giggled.

"Cook fa' me, you got a nigga hooked." He popped my thigh, causing me to hiss in pain.

"I can't stand you." I punched his arm.

"Nah fo'real, I'm starvin'."

"What you want me to cook?" I got up and walked to the kitchen.

"That thing you cooked the otha' day." He followed me.

"The Alfredo chicken pasta?"

"Yea, but don't put broccoli in it." He scrunched up his face.

"I'm putting broccoli all in it." I teased him while grabbing a bowl so I could clean the chicken.

"You want my help?"

"Nope, but you can stay in here and keep me company." I smiled.

"Aight." He sat at the island and pulled out his phone.

"Did you go check on Zane?"

"Nah, but Travis went. He said he doin' good."

"Is Lea with him?"

"Yea. You know she makin' sho' ha' daddy aight." August chuckled. "Yo' dad already left?"

"No, he's handling some business down here. He leaves tomorrow."

"Damn. Is he gon' be hea' fa' graduation?"

"Uh, I don't know, don't really care." I shrugged. "This wouldn't be the only big thing in my life that he's missed." I shook my head.

"Don't do him like that, ma. He tryin' ta' look out fa' you, he just don't know how to. Everyone lied to you and told you this dude was dead, and he probably thought you was dead as well. Give it some time."

"I guess." I put the chicken in the pot and turned it up to max.

My phone started to ring and Zane name popped up.

"Hello?" I answered before putting it on speaker.

"Yo, is you busy?"

"I just put some chicken on the stove.. Why? What's wrong?"

"There's this hairstyle Lea wants, and Ima be real, I'm not doin' this shit right, so can I bring her over there real quick?"

I giggled before answering. "Yea, bring her hair stuff."

"Hair stuff?"

"Yea, like ponytail holders, curl activator-.."

"I know what you talkin' about. Aight, thanks sis."

"No problem."

I hung up and I started laughing again. It was cute yet funny.

"Damn I hope we havin' a boy." August chuckled.

"Nah, you're gonna learn how to do our daughter hair."

"How you know it's a girl?"

"Well, I'm the pregnant one."

"You're barely pregnant." He laughed.

"You're barely going to eat if you keep saying that." I threw a plastic spoon at him.

"Violent ass." He picked it up and threw it away.

A few minutes later, there was a knock at the door, August answered it and it was Zane.

"Auntie Izzy!" Lea ran to me and hugged me.

"Hey baby." I smiled and gave her a hug.

"Daddy couldn't do my hair, so he said you'll do it." She handed me a box fulled with her hair stuff.

"Of course. Go sit down on the couch and turn something on the tv then we'll start." She did as told and I watched August start messing with her.

"Wassup Zel." Zane gave me a hug.

"Hey, how you doing?" I asked before cutting the stove on low and putting a cover over the chicken.

"I'm holdin' up." He sighed. "This the hairstyle she want." He showed me a picture.

" He showed me a picture

"Alright, no problem." I shrugged.

Him and August walked outside to the balcony, hopefully to just talk. I don't want it smelling like weed when they come back inside.

"So what do you need your hair done for?" I asked as I sat behind her on the couch.

"Daddy said we have to go say bye to mommy this weekend." She spoke, referring to the funeral. "Are you gonna come and say bye to her with me?" She turned around and looked at me.

"Of course." I smiled, trying not to cry in front of her.

"Good. She's gonna be happy." She turned back around and watched Toy Story.
