Izel

The next day, I had another photo shoot today, and this time I wasn't nervous.

Michelle sent out a reminder text to everyone in the groupchat, but I was already here, but I wasn't the first one.

I sent a text to August to let him know where I'm at before the makeup artist started on my face.

"Hey Izel." The girl who kept giving me funny looks spoke.

I gave her a small smile then closed my eyes.

"Maria, can we get some privacy?" The girl told the lady who was doing my makeup.

She rolled her eyes and walked out.

"You probably don't know my name." She smiled. "I'm Hannah. I gotta say, the photos you and Jay took were adorable."

"Thanks, can I-.."

"Anyways, we all are going out tonight to the opening of VIV. The new club opening up downtown. You should come along with us." She handed me an invite.

"I don't really do clubs, parties, any of that, so count me out."

"Too bad it isn't a choice." The other girl spoke. "Pick out a nice outfit, you come to work looking homeless." She giggled and walked away.

"Don't mind her. Your outfits are absolutely gorgeous, just like you." Hannah smiled before walking off.

I looked at the invite before tucking it in my purse.
-
"She told me I show up looking homeless all the time. Could you believe that? My clothes are nice, right?" I asked Travis over the phone.

He was the only person up this late that I could talk to. August was busy, and I didn't want to bother Zane.

"Honestly sis, I don't care." His voice was raspy.

"I don't either, but anyways, they invited me-.."

I heard two beeps, meaning someone else was trying to call me. It was Jay.

"Alright, Travis. Night, love you." I hung up and answered Jay's call.

"Hey Izel."

"Hey, wassup?"

"Nothing, I was just wondering if you were gonna go tomorrow night."

"If you are, I'll go." I giggled.

"You haven't warmed up to any of the other girls, have you?"

"Hannah seems cool, but her blonde headed friend, she's on my list of people I want to run over."

"Damn." He chuckled. "I'll come pick you up if you want."

"Yea, that's fine. I'll see you tomorrow."

I hung up and went to August contact so I could talk to him before I go to sleep.

"Ma, this like the fifth time you done called me. Wassup?"

"First of all, I'm your girlfriend, you got me pregnant, I can call as many times as I want."

"Alright bossy, you good?"

"Yea, just wanted to talk to my baby before I go to sleep. You're still busy?"

"To be real with you, I wasn't busy. I was just sleep." He chuckled.

"Wow, that's low." I shook my head. "Anyways, I gotta tell you about this... This get-together that my friends are throwing." I lied.

I couldn't tell him it was a party because he wouldn't have let me gone.
