The next day, while August was out with Zane picking up the crib that we ordered from the home store, I stopped by the house that we wanted to buy, Jay was with me of course.
The lady told me to meet her here by three and she was here right on time.
"Hey, are you Izel?" She came up to me and shook my hand.
"Yes, nice to meet you." I smiled.
"And you're August?" She looked at Jay.
"No, I'm her friend, Jay." He chuckled.
"August couldn't be with us today. He's out getting stuff for the house." I giggled.
"Oh, I'm sorry." She shook his hand anyway. "I'll let you look around before we do all the payments, that's fine?"
"Yes, thank you."
She unlocked the front door for us and we walked inside, right into cold air.
"Damm, this shit feel like Greenland." Jay zipped up his jacket.
I walked into the living room and it was so big, so much room and space, I loved it.
We checked out everything else and I fell in love. I was ready to move everything in right at this moment.
"Did you or August pick this house?" Jay asked as we walked outside where the lady was.
"August did. If it was up to me, we'd be staying in that apartment. I love my little apartment so much." I giggled
We saw her standing by her car looking at some paperwork.
"You're ready?" She smiled.
"Yep." She handed me her pen.

After all of that was handled, me and Jay rode over to downtown to shop, but I had texted August to let him know that house is ours, officially.
"You gonna be okay walking around? I don't need August beating my ass because of this." Jay spoke as he parked the car.
"I'll be fine, and August doesn't have to know. This'll be our little secret." I smiled.
We got out the car and the first store I walked to was Babies R Us. Jay had wondered off somewhere else, but we tried to stay near each other.
I went to the girl section and seen a lot of cute clothes and accessories for newborns, so I decided to facetime August so he could help me pick out stuff.
"Wassup baybeh." He answered. He was at his mom house playing the game. I could tell because of the couches.
"Hey, did you get the crib?"
"Yea, it's in Zane truck. You handled everything wit' the house?"
"Yes sir." I smiled. "I was calling you so you could help me pick out clothes for Brooklyn." I flipped the camera.
"Bruh, she gon' need a bigga' closet than yo' ass cus everyone done bought at least a hundred onesies fa' ha." He fussed.
"Okay, I'll show you some of the accessories they have here then."
"Don't get my baby no bows. We ain't puttin' big ass bows on ha' head. She gon' be lookin' goofy."
"Damn you're so picky." I shook my head. "Look at the little earrings." I cooed.
"You plan on piercing her ears?"
"Not until she's like-.."
"Six months. Wait til' she six months." He spoke.
"Yes, daddy." I giggled. "They have little shoes." I held some up in the camera.
"Grab those you got in ya' hand. Use my card."
"Nope, I'm paying for it myself." I smiled.
"Izel I swear ta' god if you spend your money in that sto'-.."
"Just let me buy the shoes, and whatever else I see I'll swipe your card.. Deal?" I lied.
August knew damn well that if I had my own money I wasn't going to use his.
"Deal.. Let me find out yo' ass lyin', it's gon' be ass whoopin' when you get back."
"Yea, yea boy. I'll call you when me and Jay are on our way back."
"Aight, luh you." He puckered his lips and kissed the camera.
"Love you too." I laughed before hanging up.
I grabbed the shoes and a few other things before walking to check out.
"Will that be all for you ma'am?" The cashier spoke while she rung up my items.
"Yes." I smiled. and took out a fifty dollar bill. I think I'm the only person I know that calculates my total before going to the register.
"49.50." She said. I handed it over to her and she handed me the receipt with my bag.
"Thank you." I walked out the store and went straight to PacSun.
I think this is where Jay was at anyway. I walked in and seen him looking at the glasses. I knew it.
"What you find in here so far?" I asked as I walked up to him.
"I got this nude shirt and pants set, it matches my skin on purpose." He chuckled. "Some necklaces and now I'm trying to find some glasses to go with it."
I looked around to see if there was anything in here August might like.
"How do men jean sizes work?" I asked him as I walked over to their jean section.
"The same way women sizes work. You're asking so you can get Aug a pair?"
"Yea." I laughed a little. "He needs a new pair of black ones because the ones he has now are high waters." I looked Jay up and down.
"What?" He furrowed his eyebrows. "Am I ugly?"
"No, you're built just like August. Skinny and tall. Try these on so I can see what size to get him." I smiled.
He rolled his eyes and took the jeans with him to the dressing room.

Once we were done, we got into his car and I started to feel sharp pains towards the bottom of my stomach.
"You straight?" Jay asked while putting the car in drive.
I couldn't answer him because the pain started to get worse. After a few seconds, it calmed down, and I didn't even notice I was holding my breath so I stopped.
"I-I'm good." I rubbed my belly.
"You sure? I can stop by a corner store real quick to grab you some water."
"I'm fine, just take me home." I turned up his A/C before the sharp pains started again.
"Oh hell nah, you scaring me." He turned a sharp left. "We're right over here by the hospital. You wanna go?"
"N-no." I shut my eyes tightly.
"I think you should.." He grew quiet and I noticed him staring at my pants.
I looked down and seen I was bleeding.
