I hate it here. Without our families in these horrible conditions. Is no one noticing how uncomfortable it is on this island? Filled with its trees. I hate this. But what could we do? When we woke up everyone was in good spirits despite what had happened. We decided to start cleaning up this hut. No one wanted to clean the basement where the skeleton was, though, and everyone was arguing.
"FINE!" I blurted, "I'LL DO IT!"
Everyone stared at me.
"Okay," Mackenzie stepped into the middle of the circle. "Marlene can clean up the basement while Taylor and Briana clean the upstairs up. Make it look neat, please. I'll go looking outside for anything I can find. Now go."
Everyone nodded in agreement although no one meant it. I walked downstairs. First I cleaned out the pantries. I put all the cooking items, that were in the pantries, on the table. There were some spices and salt in there. Since there was no refrigerator, it could be used to preserve some of the food. Second I cleaned out the first two closets. Everything in there I put on the table except the blue hoodie. I decided to put that on since I was kinda cold. When I approached the third one, I thought it was just best to keep it there. If we needed to move it, we could move it then. I walked up the stairs to see Taylor and Briana talking.
"Hi, Marlene, Taylor and I were just talking about how bossy Mackenzie is," Briana stomped on the ground.
"Exactly," responded Taylor, "Why can't she just let us do what we want to do first instead of being her slaves."
I looked at them, "Yea I know, Mackenzie is so bossy and I just wish she would stop forcing us to do stuff for her."
Mackenzie walked through the door, "Well, I see how it is then!"
"No, no, no," I stammered. "It's no-not what yo-you think!"
"WELL," she screamed, "HOW IS IT THEN!?" She started to move towards the door. "I GUESS YOU DON'T WANT ME ANYMORE. YOU DON'T WANT MY HELP? THAT'S FINE!"
Mackenzie ran out the door.
"NO MACKENZIE!" Taylor yelled.
I bolted out the door to try and follow her path. I ran through the branches that were in my way, and I jumped over every rock. Soon enough, I lost her path. I frantically looked around.
"Mackenzie? Mackenzieee? Where are you!?" I yelled as loud as I could.
I heard leaves crunch nearby. I immediately walked over. I didn't see anything at first. A loud crunch of leaves started behind me. I turned around, and my eyes widened.
"WAIT NOOO-"...
