"OH NO!" screamed Briana, "MACKENZIE AND MARLENE ARE GONE! WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO!?!?
"Jeez, calm down," I walked towards her, "Everything is going to be fine. Let's just wait for a little bit. Maybe they'll come back."
Briana nodded her head. Luckily, her screaming had stopped. About 10 or 20 minutes later, Mackenzie came back and, of course, she was in tears. Briana and I looked at each other. I felt so bad. We must've really upset her.
"It's okay," I put my arm around her, "We were just blowing steam. You are being such a good leader."
"R-really?" she stammered, "T-thanks."
Briana trudged over, "You have blood all over your hands and legs! Did you cut yourself again?"
Mackenzie looked down, "Uh yeah, I cut myself a bit. I can clean it up a bit. Ju-Just give me some privacy, and I'll clean myself up in the basement."
We just nodded. Where was Marlene though? She should've been back by now. By the time Mackenzie came back upstairs, which took a long time, I had finished my plan.
"Marlene should've been back by now, guys. We need to go look for her, but we should stick together. She probably got lost, but there might be some sort of animal out there, and there is power in numbers. C'mon, let's go find Marlene," I declared.
Mackenzie and Briana just nodded. Great, now I was the one acting like the boss. It didn't matter though. We had to save Marlene. What would we do without her?
We quickly marched through the forest as we checked behind every tree, and we turned over every rock. After a while, we came across a sign.
"Hey," Mackenzie yelled, "There's some blood here, and it makes a trail. It looks kinda fresh. Should we follow it?"
"Yes, of course," I yelled back.
We followed the trail as closely as we could, and the blood spots kept getting bigger as we moved along.
"Over here," called Mackenzie, "The blood is all over this tree, but it ends here."
"Maybe," I speculated, "She continued this way. Follow me."
We walked through the island until we made our grand discovery.
"Hey," Briana called, "There's, like, a cave here. We should go in; however, I see some blood."
Mackenzie and I approached. There was definitely blood.
"I don't wanna go in there," babbled Briana, "I don't think any of us do."
"I'll go in," I blurted, "We need to find her. You two wait here, and If I don't come out, don't come and find me."
They nodded even though they didn't mean it. As I crept through the cave, I noticed that there were blood drawings. There were pictures of a tribe and a picture of what looked like a deer. I kept on walking until the cave split. There were two sides that looked like tunnels. The right side had blood on the walls, so I chose that one. Although it was against my better judgment, I kept on moving. I was determined to find Marlene. The cave tunnel opened up in this large area, and I couldn't believe my eyes...
