Wow. Everything we knew was gone. Just like that. We were going to watch as the boat sank, but Dom insisted on moving quickly. Brandon and I trudged along as Dom ran through the forest ahead. We had to start running or we would have lost him. We ran through the branches and leaves. We didn't bother hitting them out of the way. We just ran. Brandon and I slowed down for a rest. We then realized we lost Dom. We started moving again and just looked for Dom.
"Why did he just run away?" I questioned, "He could have waited!"
"I know," said Brandon, he obviously wasn't very happy.
After a lot of searching, we found him standing by a tree. We walked up to him with very angry faces.
"Yo, dude what happened," Brandon asked, "Why did you go ahead?"
"I thought I saw someone sitting by a tree. The... The whatever I was looking at screamed so I started walking back till I stopped here," said Dom.
Brandon and I nodded. I was curious about the figure Dom saw. We started moving again except this time we jogged. Dom still wanted to cover as much area as possible. I kept looking over my shoulder. I didn't want the figure to get the element of surprise if it was hunting us. Dom and Brandon didn't seem too worried though, so I let it go. They started telling jokes as we moved. I thought that was weird since like all of our friends and family just died. Dom said there was no time to be sentimental, so I let that go too. I joined in on the jokes. It neared night as the sunset and it was getting hard to see. We'd been out for so long. We started walking so we wouldn't trip on the overgrown roots embedded in the ground. Soon we came across the best thing ever that we could have found. It was like a town. We didn't have time to explore. At least Dom and Brandon didn't. They went in the first two houses they found and got in the bed. They just fell asleep. I went into the 3rd houses, dropped my stuff, and walked back outside. There was a store, so I assumed we could find a lot of things there. Also, there were about 5 houses in total. I didn't feel like going inside of all of them. I walked back into my house, and I laid in my bed. Great, now we're stuck on this island. That's all I could think about. Well, until I fell asleep of course.
