13. Helping out

Peter Parker's Pov

Later that day I helped Melody into her new room. It was next to mine and opposite side of Wanda's.

"Thank you" She said.

"If you want me to change anything in this room or get anything just ask. Because I can do it. Don't think that it's hard for me" I said nervous that she didn't like the room.

"Peter" She said slowly. "It's perfect. Thanks"

Then she kissed me and I calmed down.

"You need to rest" I said. "I promise you. Everything will be fine. Just rest okay"

She nodded. And I walked out. I talked to the Avengers and did some random stuffs. When suddenly someone dragged me into a room and closed the door. The person hit the light button and I saw Loki.

"Loki?! What are you doing?" I asked confused.

"I know about you and Melody. And I'm here to warn you that if you hurt her in anyway I'll come after you" He said.

And while he did one quick popped up in my mind. Should I ask it?

"Do you like her?" I asked nervous which made him laugh.

"No not in that way you're thinking" Loki said. "I'm just returning a favour. So you better be careful"

Then Loki just leaved me there chocked.

3 Months Later

Three months since Melody got protection in the Avenger house. I can't believe that it have been three months. The Zoe were at first taken by S.H.E.I.L.D but when it got to serious we had to take over. She have been selling powerful weapons that should not be on earth.

Melody had gotten better. Our relationship was a secret. Sometimes we went out and other we just sneaked into each others room to steal a kiss or two. I didn't allow her to help us in mission. I knew she didn't like it but I didn't knew what would happen. That she would get enough one day.

I just sneaked into her room. She was reading while I walked in. When she saw me she smiled. I went up to her and sat down beside her. She ended up reading with her head on my lap while I was playing with her hair.

Suddenly I took the book from her and decided to steal a kiss. But she stopped me right there.

"Nope. You're not going to get anything before I have gotten my answers" She said.

"What shall I answer on?" I asked confused.

"Why I can't help you in the Zoe problem?" She asks. "You never let me do anything"

I tried to figure out smart something to say but it wasn't easy. What am I supposed to say?

"We don't need your help" I suddenly said.

"Really. I've been chasing Zoe longer than you have. I know her strategies and I know that she's working with someone else now" She said. "Our Deal Peter. Was you to help me with her. And now the Avengers know everything. But I don't blame you. It's just that you have taken over everything"

"But you need to stay here" I said. "We will ask you if we need anything"

"I don't have to stay anywhere" She said. "I'm going out and search for her myself"

"You can't do it behind Avengers back" I said. "I won't let you"

"Watch me" She said and walked out.

I stood there shocked. I don't know what just happened. I wish that I had just told her the truth. That I'm afraid that she's getting hurt. I was afraid that she would think that I thought that she was weak. And right know. I don't know what alternative was worst.

Suddenly I snapped out of my thoughts. I had to find her. I quickly took on my Spiderman suit and swung out of the window. I swung to the highest building to see if I could see anything unusual. And I did. Because someone in the woods I saw and heard an explosion.

"No no no no no" I repeated to myself and swung over to the place.

When I came there it was nothing there. The explosion had taken away a big part of the forest and left was only a circle of dirt. But the most weirdest thing must be that nothing is on fire. It almost looks like a natural place.

Trying to find them I swung over the trees. At first I saw nothing. But then I saw movements. I swung over there and landed, praying for her to be okay.

I looked around trying to figure which direction they ran towards when I suddenly heard her voice.

"Where is she?!" I heard her say loudly.

I walked towards the sound and saw Melody holding down a guy with a throwing knife on his throat.

"Tell me or I promise you I'll make your life miserable" She said.

"How can you make it more miserable than it already is?" The man asked.

"Let me show you" She said.

In that moment I webbed him and dragged away him from Melody. Then I webbed him on a tree and dragged away Melody out of his sight.
