22. Like a sister

Later Peter and Tony walked out where the Avengers were eating. Even Faster May was there worrying about Peter. When she saw him she went up to Peter to get a hug.

"I'm so sorry" May said. "I heard everything"

Peter just hugged her back and nodded.

Thor have been looking all over the Avenger house for Loki. At last he found him on the roof looking out over the city.

"Hello brother" Thor said. "How are you?"

"You should've let me kill them" Loki said.

"You know that's not right" Thor said.

"It didn't seem to stop them" Loki said.

"Loki you've never reacted like this to someones death" Thor said. "Who was she? To you?"

"None of your business" Loki murmured.

"Please brother. I want to help you" Thor begged.

Loki thought for a minute before he sighed.

"A Sister" Loki said. "She was like a sister to me"

"A sister?" Thor said surprised. "How did you get so close?"

"We meet long time ago. She helped me with earth's technology when you assembled the avengers" Loki said.

"Was she under your control?" Thor said.

"It's just that" Loki said. "She wasn't. Her only goal was to survive. She was smaller then and maybe she didn't exactly know what she did but she had something she didn't want me to take away from her. It was something she knew, something important. So to keep it she was under my command by her own will"

"She seem to have gone through a lot" Thor said.

"More than we will ever know" Loki sighed.

"It's pity that we can't do something" Thor said.

Loki thought for a moment.

"Unless..." Loki realised.

Thor who knew that look tried to stop Loki.

"No no no no no no" Thor said. "This is madness"

"It's the only way" Loki said.

"But she will go through a lot. She might not even success" Thor said. "She'll go through a lot of pain"

"I have to try" Loki said. "Please. Brother"

Thor slowly nodded as he knew that he was going to regret this.

Later that night Loki and Thor returned back to an none named place where there was just one building lighting up the place.

"Are you sure about this brother?" Thor said.

"Every two years a new demigod is chosen" Loki said. "We just have to make a simple deal to bring her back to life"

"But all the pain she'll go through the past two years" Thor commented. "It's to risky, there is only one survivor"

"And it will be her" Loki said.

Thor nodded knowing that he couldn't change his brother's mind and together they walked in to a giant building with a giant sign on it written with some pointy letters.

"Want another chance in life? It comes with one cost, attend to the demigod fight and hope to be the one who survives"

Back on Earth Peter tried to call down with a little help of faster May. They went to get ice cream and talk about everything. May tried to cheer up Peter in all ways but Peter just couldn't get Daphne out of his mind.

When they came back Avengers was waiting on them.

"Hey Peter" Tony said. "We are going down to get some answers and wondered if you wanted to come with us. We thought that some answers might help you a little"

Peter nodded.

"I have to go back to work" May said. "But if you need anything just call okay Peter"

She gave Peter a hug before they walked down.

"Well well well look who decided to pay us a visit" Zoe laughed. "Even the Spiderkid is here. How wonderful"

"Don't let her go on your nerves" Wanda said.

Peter just nodded.

"Why did you come here?" Steve asked. "What was so important that it brought you here on earth?"

"A very powerful thing that you don't understand" Noka answered. "As we told you. One of you know the secret formula to a make a powerful weapon we just need it"

"Then it quite amusing" Vision said. "You killed the only one with answers"

"Don't try to fool me" Noka said. "We know that she kept her research here it's just a matter of time before we find it"

"Not gonna happen" Stark said. "We've already destroyed all her research so you can't have it"

"You fools" Noka said. "You've destroyed your only was to great power"

"But we don't need power" Clint said before he looked on the other. "Cause we have Avengers"

Later that day Steve went up to Tony.

"We both know that you read the formula before you destroyed it" Steve said.

"Maybe but it doesn't matter" Tony said.

"Why not?" Steve asked confused. "What was the last ingredient?"

"Melody's fresh blood" Tony answered. "And that is to late now"
