"Whats the first step?" Hadaya asked we all looked to Kazi who looked deep in thought
"We go to Wakanda explain what is happening, and get more help on finding Amara and than we take her down," Kazi said and we nodded "Its a 2-hour walk to Wakanda so we should start now," Mother nodded
"Stay safe my children," she spoke turning to grab some things. She soon handed us water jugs, a map, and a weird artifact "This will get you into Wakanda," she explained I turned the black stone arrowhead in my hands. It had Xhosa scripture on it. I looked at Kazi and Hadaya sighing before nodding at them.
"Before you go, you'll need these," Father said 3 different leather looking suits piled on top of one another. He passed the red one to Kazi, it was red leather with a zipper and a pair of cargo pants that were a shade of tan. Mother handed him some combat boots. He handed me the second one, it was a greenish brown leather body suit, the belly was yellow and had sewen lines going through it the sleeves seemed woven like gauze to the skin, it had cuts with gold details. It also possessed gloves and the pants had a belt and the same details that the body suit had. The boots came about half calf and laced up. The last one went to Hadaya it was almost completely white, the shoulders were black and there was a zipper that went to about mid-belly and mother held her the last pair of combat boots that had the most height to them. I went to change tying my hair up in a ponytail on the top of my head. My long curls fell almost uniform down my neck and back. I sighed lacing my boots up and walked out.
"Ready?" Kazi said I nodded and we left after placing a kiss on our mother's cheek and saying goodbye to our father. We started the 2-hour walk to the large city of Wakanda. We walked in almost perfect silence and the grassy planes seemed to be growing larger. When we finally made it to the outskirts of the city the border patrol stopped us. They spoke in Xhosa.
"Akukho shishini apha. Hamba ngoku okanye siza kuphelelwa amandla." I rolled my eyes looking to Kazi to speak for us as he was the oldest and I tend to get us into trouble with my tongue.
"Sifike ngoxolo, sifuna ukuthetha noKumkani T'chaka," Kazi looked to me motioning to the artifact in my hand, I held it up for them to see. The man looked to his men with a look of confusion and fear on their face. The used their beaded bracelets to open the barriers to Wakanda and allowed us to walk through. They then escorted us to the castle with the king's council and the king himself.
"Zoyans," The king greeted his hatred for us was very clear. I rolled my eyes Kazi taking a short step forward. "You called this council, after making it very clear we weren't welcome in your..." He paused in search of a word to explain our home "trivial village," The queen slapped his shoulder giving him a look. My lips pulled over my teeth in a growling motion. Kazi put his hand back giving me a look of warning. Hadaya grabbed my arm and I set my jaw but kept quiet.
"We wouldn't be here if it wasn't important," Kazi spoke the king seemed amused about this he went to open his mouth but Kazi spoke before he could get a word out "It's about your son," after those words were uttered the room quieted, the king's amused mood vanished
"My son, is he okay have you found him?" The queen spoke in a rushed tone, it made my heart break, her son was missing and we had to find him no matter what odds our homes were at.
"We believe he was taken by a rouge Zoyan," I scoffed "If we can call her that, she is our cousin who is trying to get the death stone, T'challa being in our village we believe she took him as leverage against Ayana," I resisted the urge to roll my eyes the king put his hands over his lips "Amara is very dangerous and we ask you to let us search for her as she is to be prisoner at our village for the crimes she committed against the totems," Kazi said
"You find my son and bring him home," the queen said we nodded our heads sighing the dora milaje leading us out.
