Katelyn's POV
Kawaii~Chan and I learned to trust Teony. She was skeptical at first but she has information. Not a lot but still usable. But it's not like I'm gonna ditch her.
Teony stumbles a lot since she's frail. Poor girl was most likely starving since her ribs and hips were showing. Kawaii~Chan is walking next to her to help when she stumbles. Right now, I'm in charge.
The snow doesn't seem to go faster but I still need to worry about it. We'll need to find shelter in a safe place. Maybe we could try to locate the cave from before. No, we're probably miles away from it. It'll be too late.
I can't help but wonder, maybe Phoenix Drop had an alliance? That chance is slim but still. A small breeze comes and with it is a scent. Not a familiar scent, but it's a wolf. I turn around sharply and stare. KC and Teony look confused.
"I smell a wolf." KC's and Teony's eyes go wide as they also turn around to try to find the wolf.
KC turned to the left and bared her teeth. I look there and see a wolf. He did not look friendly.Suddenly, I heard a thud as I saw Teony tackled to the ground a large wolf keeping her fragile body down by holding on to her neck. The scent was just like the Tu'la pack. These were Tu'la wolves!
I get ready to attack the one pinning Teony down when I felt weight fall on me. It was another pinning me down. KC looked at us in horror. I heard her mutter something, "I'm sorry." Then she ran further away from us.
"Kawaii~Chan!" I yell in terror. She abandoned us. I'm sure there's a reason but I feel so betrayed. "Lets take these two, we'll get her later." Said one of them.
They dragged us and we struggled to stand and fight. I was kicking but I saw Teony go limp. She's given up. But I refuse to.
I was resisting, but it wasn't enough. The entire trip was us just being dragged. Until we were taken to an all too familiar gate.
O'kasis...
Now I was kicking frantically. I was desperate to escape. I wanted to get out of here. The Alpha. He wasn't just after Phoenix's drops leaders, he was after every one that left. Even if they were kicked out.
I tried. But I was tired out. They were much stronger than me. I didn't stand a chance. Teony didn't stand a chance. I can't blame KC for leaving us. I stopped resisting and decided to accept my fate.
We were dragged in different places. But it led to a cave meant to be a prison. "We've two of them. We'll need six more." I stared at them with deceiving eyes. I was furious.
Teony walked around and looked at the walls of the cave. She patted the dirt in different areas. She went to a corner, patted it several times, then started digging. I watch her progress further down. I understand now. She found soft dirt, dirt that would be soft enough to dig to escape! She's a genius. Or maybe I'm just too dumb.
I stand near the entrance of the cave watching for guards. I look back every so often to watch her progress.
This went on for almost one hour. Until the guards came by the entrance. Teony sat to hide the hole as much as possible. They didn't notice. These guards suck.
We need to escape.
We will escape.Aphmau's POV
I squint my eyes as the sun shines into my eyes. I yawn before falling off something. "Ow!" I complained. "Hey, you okay?" I look up to see Aaron looking down on me.
"Yeah, I'm just tired." I lift myself up and shake off the dirt on my back. I noticed the sun was now hiding behind the clouds, it also wasn't long before night came upon us.
I yawned and stretched. "So, what are we gonna do?" Aaron had a stern face before turning to me. "We'll just have to find Meteli." He looked down to see his own paw kick a small stone in front of him. "I lost KC's and Katelyn's trail so we won't find them soon. We'll just have to find something to eat and find a shelter for the night."
I nodded then started walking to his side. Small flakes of snow began falling again but we didn't need to worry for it was a light load. Still, any signs of falling snow could be an oncoming blizzard. Again.
I looked at Aaron again. I couldn't determine what he was feeling. His face is too hard to read. I don't know, something about him also seems intimidating.
We tested for a bit and watched the sky erupt in colors of orange and pink as the sun went to sleep. I rested and laid my head on Aaron's stiff shoulder. I was tired despite sleeping many hours, which means it would be impossible for Aaron to not be exhausted.
"Aaron, do you want to sleep?"
"No."
"Aaron, you need the rest."
"I won't sleep until we're safe. You are in no condition to fight if we needed to."
A worried expression appeared on my face. "Aaron... please. Just take a small nap."
He looked into my eyes and sighed. "Fine, but wake me up immediately if there is trouble. And don't you dare wander off." His eyes looked fierce but I could tell he was protective over me.
I smile gently. "Of course Aaron. Now, go to sleep." I nudge his head down to his paws for him to sleep.
After a few minutes, I saw him close his eyes. His breathing was soft. Even in his sleep, he looked intimidating. It didn't matter.
He would never hurt me.
