Aphmau's POV
Once Aaron had woken up, we started moving. He made me feel safe and comfortable. I didn't feel alone anymore.
It still hurts. The thought of my mom dead because of my good-for-nothing-dad. He made me sick. A twisted wolf that held others by strings, and once they were torn down, he'd rip the strings to leave them on their own. What makes this situation worse, my friends also have history with him.
I'm not the only one in trouble. I turn to Aaron, his face cold and determined, yet he looked warm and soft to me. I quickly turn away as I feel my face turning hot. Snap out of it Aphmau.
The snow has stopped. The snow laying on the ground are melting quick, and I see small plants going in the cracks of the ground. Spring.
I take a big breath to smell all wonderful plants. Scents I never thought I would smell again. Wait. I take another breath. I smell something else. I smell a wolf. No, more than one, and they don't seem friendly.
I nudge Aaron and gesture him to smell the air. He gives me a confused look then in a few seconds he stands in a threatening position. His tail up straight, his ears pointed up.
"Well damn, we've been caught." A wolf twice my size came out of the bushes and towards us. Aaron doesn't back down. Four more wolves come out, completely surrounding us.
"A-aron!" I cry out. He turns to me and sees the other wolves. Both of us are searching to find an exit. But there is none.
"Calm down, we won't kill you, we'll just take you to Alpha."
"Yeah, make this easy for us so we can get it over with." Grunted the largest one.
"Never." Growled Aaron, his voice cold and harsh.
"Aaron, you don't have a choice. Besides, we only need the girl, you're just a bonus."
Aaron dug his claws into the dirt.
"We've heard a lot about you Aaron. Alpha told us what you are capable of despite your circumstances before all this. There is no escape no matter what." He smirked.
Aaron looked enraged. Digging his claws deeper into the ground. All the wolves were smirking.
Then I felt a strong pressure on my neck, followed by hitting the ground. One of the wolves were pinning me down. "You make one wrong move Aaron, we'll kill you. Now, we are just going to walk back to Alpha while stay here and be a good boy.
Aaron looked panicked and furious all at once. I could tell he was desperately trying to find a way to save me and himself. He hangs his head low. I thought he surrendered.
I was wrong.
