Chapter. 7

Aphmau's POV

I ran up to the entrance where two wolves greeted us. Me and Aaron were allowed in and go home, but the others had to go meet Alpha Derek and Rachel.

I ran towards my cave but didn't see anyone.

"Mom?"

I couldn't hear anything but the wind.

"Mom?!"

I started getting frantic. I just wanted to be near my mom again.

"Aphmau?" Said a voice

I quickly turn around to see Ziana there.

"Ziana?! Where's my mom? Is she ok?!" I asked

"Slow down Aph! Your mom went with Eric went to look for you!"

"Is someone going to get her?!"

"Well not yet, but I'll send Garte to tell them the news that you're here and that you're safe."

"Okay..... I'm going to the Alpha's Cave"

"Why?"

"I just need to see something...."

I ran towards the cave but it was shut.

I then ran back to where me and my mom were welcomed and there they were.

"So you're telling me, that you guys left a pack and went on your own?" Said Derek

"Yes sir...." replied Katelyn

"And where did the other 2 come from?"

"Well me and Laurance had recently returned from Okasis but..... it was taken over." Said Garroth

"What?!"

"Yeah..... we were told by a nearby wolf to not enter since they won't let anyone out once they get in...." explained Laurance.

"I see.... well then you guys can seek refuge in our pack."

I was excited when I heard those words! I saw Katelyn's and Kawaii~Chan's face light up while Garroth and Laurance exchanged smiles with each other.

"Just follow Melissa to your caves."

"Follow me!" Exclaimed Melissa

I saw Melissa but I didn't see any sign of Aaron. That was strange, why wasn't Aaron there? He of all wolves should be there.

Pushing that thought in the far ends of my mind I run excitedly towards the wolves.

"Hey guys!" I greeted

"Hey Aphmau!!" They all say

"Aphmau?" Asks a confused Melissa.
"You know these wolves?"

"Yeah, I ran into them while we were caught up in a blizzard. Kawaii~Chan! You can walk now right?" I asked

"Yeah, I'm doing better but it still hurts." Replied Kawaii~Chan

"Thanks Aph for letting us follow you here. It turned out to be better than I thought." Said Katelyn

"No problem! This is the best pack I've ever been in!" I replied

"Aphmau? How long have you been here?" Asked Garroth

"Well.... only a few months... but it's great!!" I answered

"Hey Aphmau, why don't you go back to your house... maybe your mom's there?" Asked Melissa

"No thanks, my mom isn't there but someone is going to get her and Eric." I replied once more.

"Wait... Eric? Who's Eric?!" Questioned Katelyn

"Eric was one of the wolves who helped us, but that's a story for another time." I answered, but then I realized something "wait, why do you care?"

"What did he look like?!" Katelyn questioned again not giving me a answer to my question.

I saw Garroth and Laurance exchange confused looks to each other and Kawaii~Chan looked curious.

I then answered "Dark blue fur with small splashes of a lighter shade of blue. With blue eyes..." I answered but I realized something..... Katelyn looked just like Eric, but with a much lighter shade of blue and her eyes were the same color, but a little lighter.

"Wait, do you know Eric?" I asked

Katelyn face lit up. "Of course I know who he is! He's my dad! Well, from what I know, he's most likely my dad!"

"Wow! I did not see that coming!" Exclaimed Garroth

"Same." Said Laurance

"Yaaaayyy!!!" Exclaimed Kawaii~Chan

"I can't wait to see him!!.... if it is him." Exclaimed Katelyn

"Aphmau how about you go back to your cave, it's getting a little late." Said Melissa

"Fiiiine." I say

I walked away from my new friends and look back to the alpha's cave.

There I saw Derek and Rachel talking to Aaron, or more like yelling. I felt a little enraged yet I didn't know why if my mom might do the same.

I walked back to my cave and laid down leaving me to my thoughts. More specifically about my dream.

Why was I a human?

Did the dream mean anything?

Is this a case of remembering a past life or a talent of watching my new life?

I was really confused. I felt my eyelids fall and darkness surrounded my vision.

And there, was the start of a second dream.
