Aaron's POV

Aphmau has barely said a word. I can't blame her. She just had to leave her mom lying there.

I mean, she was dead but it must have been hard to do that.

I can tell Aphmau wants to be distant from me because of what I did but she can't. I think she finally realizes that she can't survive alone. From what I know, she has always depended on others.

She needs me to survive. Yet, I can barely survive on my own. So, I guess we need each other.

I have never been to Meteli but I had to remember the coordinates of it. Aphmau knows about it too but she doesn't know where it is. Trying to locate it will be hard.

I hear a stomach growl. I turn towards Aphmau as she acts as if she's not hungry.

"Wait here. I'll find some food." I tell her.

She sits and surveys her surroundings.
I walk into the trees to see a rabbit. It was skinny but it can do the trick. I crouch low to the ground and sneak up to it. I pounce and pin it to the ground then snapped its neck. I carry the rabbit and drop it in front of her. She pouts as she realized the food was for her but she gobbles it up anyway.

I sit there waiting for her to finish until she picks up the thin leg and drops it in front of me.

I look at her in confusion.

She gives me a grumpy look then sits back down.

I could tell she wants me to have it. I eat it without arguing then look at Aphmau.

"We have to start moving. Come on."

She looks up with sad eyes and stands up.

As we are walking I can hear her softly crying. It pains me. I don't want to look at her if she is softly crying it probably means she doesn't want me to know she's crying.

I stare ahead and avoid contact with her. Then I hear a small yelp from Aphmau.

I turned back to see her turning to her side with fear in her eyes.

I look to where she is facing and freeze.

"Well Well Well. Look what we have here."

"My, we sure are lucky today. The Alpha's daughter and the Phoenix Drop alpha."

"No, that isn't the alpha of Phoenix drop. But it is his son."

I realize that these two. They were Okasis wolves. Aphmau was terrified. She looks ready to run. I tried looking for an opening but couldn't.

Aphmau looked at me and then back at them.
Without thinking, I attacked the one in front of Aphmau. The others came to help him, but then Aphmau attacked one of them.

We started fighting until we were thrown off using that opportunity to run.

I heard the yelling fade as we ran further. After 20 minutes of running, we came to a stop to rest.

"That... was stupid." Gasped Aphmau. "It got the job done," I replied.

We start walking away when I smell something familiar. I sniff the ground and smell someone. The scent was definitely Katelyn. Along with it was KC and someone else.

"Follow me Aph," I commanded. Aphmau follows while I start walking into Their direction.

I sniff the ground and notice the scent was getting stronger. Becoming more eager, I start walking faster.

"Aaron! Wait up!" I look behind and realize Aphmau is limping. "Why are you limping?" I nervously ask.

"While we were running away I accidentally ran into a piece of rock sticking out." She answered. I look at her leg. It looks like it hurts but will probably heal in a few hours.

"I'll slow down. I won't carry you because you need the leg to move in order to heal quicker." I say to her in a calm manner. "Will it really?" She asks excitedly. I don't respond because I'm not entirely sure.

I slowly follow the scent with Aphmau shortly behind me.

As the scent becomes stronger. I feel a small breeze. Ignoring it, I still follow the scent but I start getting confused. Dammit. The breeze is messing me up. The wind was getting stronger.

"A storm's coming." Sighed Aphmau. "Let's just hope it won't involve snow again," I say.

A few minutes later, small flakes start falling down. I growl. Aphmau whined.

I stop and wait for Aph to catch up.

She walks up next to me. "Why did you stop?" She asks.

"I need to carry you." I declared. Aphmau looking confused says abruptly "I thought you didn't want to, why to change your mind."

I sigh. "Not only will this weather slow you down but we are running out of time."

"Running out of time?"

"I caught the scent of Katelyn and KC. This weather will make me lose them." I respond.

"Oh, right." She hops onto my back, almost falling off but she gets her grip.

I put my nose to the ground and start sprinting. The weather getting worse. The scent becoming more faded.

I lose the scent. I grunt then start to frantically find it again. No luck. Aphmau feels limp. I turn my head to see her asleep.

I smile then start attempting to find it again.

Still no luck.

I find myself in a room.  In white clothing with short blue clothing underneath it. I had a fabric on my head then I started walking to a large building. Many more humans were there. A man ran into me while I was pressing a button on a square object with light. It was human Aaron. Except, he looked more.... sad.

Then I was in front of a building. It had human Katelyn and Kawaii~Chan next to me. There were two others who I assumed was Garroth and Laurance along with another one I've never seen.

I was in the large building where I was with a person. He had cat ears and tail. His hair was orange and so was his eyes. I felt emotions for him. Wait. Didn't human me have the same emotions for human Aaron?

The next few things were a blur. Then I was outside with humans with wolf ears and tail. We were running. Adrenalin pumping. Suddenly a werewolf came flying down. It was the werewolf that took human me under control. Suddenly another werewolf appeared. Then everyone made cheering sounds.

Then I was teleported to a bedroom. Human me was in severe pain. She had wolf ears on her head. Is she still human? I was unsure what it meant.

Then we were in a large building when people came in running. They held something in their hands. Human me was panicked. She exited and was hanging over the building with another human. He looked strange with black clothing and one eye. They went down the hanging things and entered another room.

Then the dream ended.

Woo! Another chapter! I really need to get this book together. When I first started this book I had a lot more planned, but now we're at chapter 12 and we aren't even close to the part I'm looking forward to writing. I'll try to update more frequently. I'll try to publish every Thursday so I don't keep you waiting.

Have a good day/night!
