Chapter. 2

Aaron's POV

It's been 2 months since I have last seen that wolf. If you asked me I honestly wouldn't have answered. If you asked me if I liked her I would've just said she is pretty.

The snow is melting faster than the last two winters, which is good. My family doesn't let me get one foot out of the cave during winter.

Winter was when Jacob died and when the wolf pack that killed Jacob get close to PheonixDrop. But now that it's spring I can go where ever I want, but I still have to be on the territory, and it's pretty big. I have Secret spot though. It's hidden by a rock and tree trunk and has a hole big enough for my dad. Vines cover the entrance and so does the rock but it's pretty easy to move. I love being there because is a huge cave with crystals and flower beds with a small spring. It honestly looks like humans made it, but this was the work of nature!

Aphmau's POV

I recovered from what happened during winter! I have learned to hunt their way and some more stuff. But what I really wanted to see was that wolf I saw when we first got there. I wondered if he was part of the pack...

"Hey mom?"

"Yeah Aph?"

"Can I go exploring?"

"Sure, but remember the snow hasn't fully melted so keep in mind that it will be hard to smell the boundary."

"I will mom!!"

1 hour later

I was jumping on the pretty insects that had just arrived when I slipped on some snow. I hit my head in a rock and noticed how loose it was. I moved the rock and saw a huge hole. I didn't realize the huge rock behind a tree. I went inside the hole and it felt like I entered a new world!

It was a huge cave with flower beds and crystals and a small spring. The ground was mossy and had grass. I started playing in it when I heard a sound.

I darted behind a small boulder in the cave. When a wolf came inside.

It was the same wolf I had saw the day I came.

I didn't realize how big and handsome he was... he had black fur and red tips on his ears and tail and paws.

Aaron's POV

The rock had been moved. So someone must have entered the cave.

I sniffed the air and the ground.

I was right. This was pretty recently too.

3rd Person

Aphmau was hiding behind the rock.
Aaron was smelling every trace of her and everything she did.

Aphmau darted to another rock when Aaron had just barely gotten close to her hiding spot.

Aaron's ears and tail went up when the smell was recent.

He needed to act fast, he followed the smell again but this time faster.
Aphmau was scared and tried to get a peek on the entrance. It was shut.

Aphmau's POV

Darn it... I'm going to have to trick the wolf to get out... or maybe I should just introduce myself....

I darted toward the entrance when I was shoved to the ground.

"Who are you?!" Yelled the Wolf

"GAH!! I-I'm A-Aphmau!!"

"Aphmau? Wait... you're the new wolf!"

He got off me and walked 3 feet away from me.

I got up and took a drink from the spring.

I turned around and saw the wolf stare at me suspious.

"Soo.. what's your name?" I asked

"Aaron" he said

"That sounds like a name for a strong wolf"

"Are you saying I'm not strong?"

"For a big wolf, you're not very strong hehe..."

"Do you want me to prove my strength?" He stood up with his tail up.

"Go ahead" before I knew it he tackled me. I yelped at the sudden attack.

"Tsk, you scaredy cat"

"Scaredy cat?! I AM NO SCAREDY CAT!!" I bit his neck and we started to wrestle.

30 minutes later

Aaron's POV

"Hah! I win!" I said proudly

"Pfft that was nothing!"

"Hmph, well another match tomorrow! When the sun is in the middle of the sky!"

"Heh, your on!!"

"Come on Potato, let's go."

"Who you calling potato?!"

"You."

"I'm not a potato!!"

"Your right, you're a stupid potato!! Ha Ha!!"

"Grrr come here!!!"

She chased me for about 5 minutes.

Aphmau's POV

He called me a STUPID POTATO!! So I have the right to chase him.

I was right at his tail when I jumped him.

I landed right on top of him and held him hostage..... for about 5 seconds till he kicked me off and held me hostage for a minute.

"Hey!! Not Fair!!"

"Ha ha It's totally fair!"

I kicked his stomach and escaped.

"Ha Ha!!"

"Hey! Get back here!!"

I opened the entrance and stepped outside... that's when I stood in shock.

"Hey! What's wrong.. oh no"

"H-How?!"

"I don't know"

It was snowing, and the snow was getting really high. Not only that, it was dark, Very Dark...
