Kawaii~Chan's POV

Running away is the worst thing I could've done. But I was too scared to think. Even if my leg still hurts.

I'm exhausted. I want to sleep. But I can't. It's too risky at night. I'm more vulnerable.

It stopped snowing, at least something good happened. A breeze came and I shivered. It's freezing. I looked up towards the sky and see the bright stars. The moon isn't out.

I look down and realize I caught a scent. Wolves? No. It's different. But it's not a normal animal. I sniff again. Food. I follow the trail to a small fire in an open area. There was something standing. It was tall and smelled weird. It wasn't covered in fur.

I walk closer when the creature turned to where I was. I froze. It didn't seem to see me. It had no hair other than on its head. I realized it was looking at me.

It turned to a small structure near it. It had the voice of a female but I didn't really hear her. From the small structure came a much taller creature. This one spoke and sounded like a male. He had fur on his head and face with tiny furs on his arms and legs.

Then it clicked. Everything came to one thing. These were humans. I backed away.

I heard from many wolves that humans were dangerous. How they have killed wolves and captured them. I didn't want to be one of those wolves, but these humans didn't seem dangerous. They also had food.

"Look at that wolf, you can see her ribs..." Said the female.

"Careful Brooke. You don't know if seems aggressive." Stated the male who placed his hand on her shoulder. "I doubt a wolf this small can do harm, Mitch." Claimed Brooke. "Besides, we have the tranquilizer if they ever did."

Mitch grunted and turned back into the structure. Brooke took something out and it flashed. I blinked and was startled. Brooke stared at the object.

"Mitch! This photo turned out so well!" She exclaimed. Mitch didn't respond. She looked at the photo and frowned. She looked at me with pitiful eyes. "What is it?" Mitch said. He walked back towards Brooke.

"In the photo, you can see how thin she is. She also has a burn on her." They pushed the object to Mitch. "Geez, you're right. You think she was in that massive fire?"

Brooke replied "Probably." She looked in the direction where a small cloud of smoke was. Where Phoenix Drop was.

Wait. Why am I still here. I turned around to leave.

"Wait, Mitch! We need to take her to the rescue." Brooke cried. And in a second I felt something sharp hit me. My legs felt weak. I got much more tired.

I fell to the ground with only a blurry vision of Mitch walking towards me.

Then I fell asleep.

Sorry for a short chapter but another one will come out soon. Probably.
Hope you enjoyed it!
