Life may not always be perfect for some of us. Life isn't always fair to some of us. Everyone has a different life story. Even we have our own definition of the phrase 'Perfect Life'. Sometimes, perfectionist people with ambitions inside them always try to make it perfect in their own way. Just like my Dad. Despite my broken family, he's always trying to make things perfect for me in his point of view. So here I am, walking down the hall way all by myself, paying attention to every details on the lockers, the wall and everything on my way. Because it wouldn't be all the same in college, my senior year has almost come to its end, yeah but it takes quite some time to end, unfortunately. I'm not that kind of person that really in to all the school things, I come here every day to learn new things and work on my grades, so I can get into the university and get a job and have a wonderful career, just like my Dad wanted me to.
"There you are baby," said my boyfriend Patrick from the distance, everyone could almost hear it. "Hey," walked to him who was busy getting a notebook from his locker. "I have a football practice this afternoon, I want you to come to the field," He stopped, as he found the notebook that he was looking for, "only if you don't mind, then I will get you to get some Chinese foods for dinner," he continued as he closed the locker.
"Oh I would love to Pat, as usual. I'm going to wait in the coffee shop, while I'm doing my assignment for the World's History and Calculus, is it okay?"
"Yeah, as long as you're around me," He leaned on his locker so his face is at the same height as mine. He put a strand of my hair behind my ears, which is not necessary because I wore my bobby pins. "So, I'll see you after practice okay?" I nodded softly. He kissed my cheek and made his way to his next class. Patrick has always been so sweet to me, we've been together for a quite longtime for a high school couple. He is a 6 ft tall brunet guy with a very nice muscular body.
The school ends soon, World's History was the last subject for me today. A soon as I got out of school, I went to the football field which Patrick had told me earlier today to check on him; yeah he was there with his football attire and football shoes as he kicked the ball randomly and he waved at me as soon as he noticed that I was there. "I'll be in that cafe over there, good luck!" I mouthed as if he could understand what I was saying, but he nods and raise his thumb as an 'Okay' sign.
When I walked into the cafe, I saw a guy from my school standing behind the counter while taking order. As a normal people, I hate to see someone from school in a public place, but I couldn't just turn around and leave, instead I walked in to the counter and pretend that I don't know him. "Hi, good afternoon what would you like to order?" He asked his face has no expression, super flat face.
"I want a green tea latte, with a whipped cream and a blueberry muffin thank you," I said quickly.
"Anything else?" He asked.
"No,"
"Okay, that would be $5 and 50 cents," He said and I hand him the money. "Wait, why don't you ask for my name?" I asked him pretending to be curious because I'm acting as if I didn't know him.
"Is it necessary if I already know your name? We've been going to the same school for 6 years and you're pretending that you don't know me, Hazel Singleton?" He raised his eyebrow cockily as he wrote down my name on the cup.
"Fine then, I don't like meeting people from school on public place, you see,so I was just pretending that I don't know you" I protested as I fold my hand in a defensive manner.
"Neither do I, have an unpleasant day, Hazel," He said in a flat tone. I glared at him and walked away and took the order away with me; yes it was written on my cup, what an annoying guy.
