My dad left home for a charity event right after Luke arrived the next day and left us some money to order a pizza for dinner. So like yesterday, Luke taught me how to solve some more and more math problems. He seemed to find them easy, I wonder how genius he must be.

“Now you can answer this on your own,” He told me after explained a few things to me.

“What?” I didn’t even listened to what he was explaining, I just saw his mouth moving but none of his words went to my ears.

“Hazel, find the answer of this question of trigonometics limit.” He pointed out a limit question on my text book.

“Which limits?! What does the trigonometry has to do with the limits?!” I whined as I throw my head back.

“This question Hazel, just do the exact same thing that I did in last number,” He rolled his eyes and pointing down at an equation written in his neat handwriting with his pencil and leaned back to his seat in my kitchen. I love to study in my kitchen because if you’re hungry you could easily grab some snacks there, don’t judge me. Basically, studying makes you hungry.

“God, fine. Whatever.” I continued to write down an equation. Luke was watching my every move with his light blue eyes as I was doing the last number.

"Is the answer negative one?" I looked up to him after a while.

"No. The limits actually doesn't exist." His eyes pierced on mine as he answered. His hands folded on is chest as he leaned on the chair. "You still don't understand do you?"

"Well, actually.... I,"

"Fine, we should learn about this again tomorrow,"

Soon after I’ve finished doing all the Calculus thing, I checked my phone and I got a text from Patrick, he told me to call him.

“Hello Hazel, Are you free tonight? I’ll take you to a Japanese Restaurant for a sushi dinner.” He sounded so happy

“Pat, don’t you remember? I’m grounded. I can’t go anywhere.”

“I’m sorry, I forgot. But most importantly I have something to tell you,”

“Just say it here,” I walked away from my kitchen so Luke can’t hear whatever Patrick is going to say.

“Remember that middle aged men I talked to yesterday? They told me to join a camp for the footballers, it was awesome. But I’ll be away for a week, if it’s okay with you?”

“Yeah it is, I’m grounded for a week so it’s a win-win for both of us,” I spoke softly to the phone, imitate what he said to me yesterday despite how disappointed I was, because he didn’t even seemed to care about me.

“Thank you baby I knew it I love you, bye. Have a nice weekend,”

“You too bye,”

I hung up. I walked back in to the kitchen and find Luke calling the pizza man with his cellphone; I gestured him to go to the family room together so we could watch TV, since we had done with the tutoring thing. Damn, it was the most annoying weekend ever! No Dad, no Patrick, math, and Luke.

Luke comforted himself on a couch in front of the table in my family room, so I did the same thing next to him.

“Hazel, forgive me. Where are my manners?” He said after a while. He bit his inner cheek when he was nervous.

“You know I’ve been wondering that since the first time I talked to you,” I straightened up my siting position so I could see him better.
