This is my first time putting any writing on the internet for people to see so I'm kinda nervous about it ;w;
Anyways, this is the prologue kinda thing where it basically just shows everyone's relationships and how they interact with each other pretty quickly before the first real chapter starts!
Also, I kinda gave up editing like halfway through, so there may be some real bad mistakes in later chapters because I just didn't have it in me to keep reading this a hundred times, ughhck :/
Tord was kind of a normal kid. Kind of. His not one, but two fathers, who didn't even get along half the time, were both in this weird secret, underground army; The Red Army was what it was called, and only soldiers of it and potentially their families knew about it right now. Tord payed next to no attention to it, since it had never really caused him any problems before. Besides that, he had a boyfriend; this person had been made fun of and picked on since he started school for his pitch black eyes. His name was Tom. Tord had even heard stories of where some kid tried to, or successfully, stab a finger into his eyes to see if they were empty eye sockets or not. Sadly, the one winner who nabbed him in the eye had left Tom's vision at a considerably less clear state than it was supposed to be..
Enough about his eyes. Tord groans as Pau drags him out of his bed and drops him on the floor. "For the millionth time, Tord! Pat has told you to wake up at least seven times now!" Pau says.
"I don't want to go to school." Tord complains, covering his face with his arms to block out the light.
"And I don't want to drag you down the stairs to eat the cold breakfast you've neglected." He says, starting to drag Tord out of his room and towards the stairs.
"You wouldn't." Tord says, not removing his arms from his face.
Pat stood at the bottom of the stairs and upon looking up them he could see his husband at the top with a death grip on the bottom of Tord's shirt. "What are you two doing?"
"HE'S TRYING TO THROW ME DOWN THE STAIRS!" Tord calls, breaking out of Pau's grip.
Pat shook his head, sighing, "Well, whatever you boys are doing, you should cut it out and come back down here. Tord, you have to eat breakfast and go to school. Pau, you have to go to work, as do I." Pat rants while walking back into the kitchen.
Tord begrudgingly walked downstairs, Pau following behind.

At school, Tord was wandering aimlessly around before classes started for the day. He had a huge homework assignment in math that was assigned weeks ago, and he hadn't even turned a page of the behemoth packet yet.. He would never live this down.
"Hey! Tord!" A familiar voice calls to him. This seemed to be how every morning went. Tord frets about what he didn't do instead of doing it, and then Tom shows up with the same greeting as always.
"Good morning, Thomas!" He greets.
"You look more worried than usual." Tom observes, "What did you do now?"
"Pff, instantly assuming it was I who did something." Tord says, "Okay, maybe I did?"
"Exactly."
"You know that big math packet from like two weeks ago...?" Tord asks, pressing his finger tips together a few times.
"...Oh my god!" Tom says, barely stifling his laugh, "You didn't do it?"
"Give me some credit here, I've never even looked inside it!" Tord says, as if that were a great thing, "...canicopyyours?" He then says.
Tom seems to think about this for a moment before tossing his backpack at Tord. "I guess so. Just don't make it obvious."
"Can it with your memes," Tord complains as he digs out Tom's copy of the homework paper.

In homeroom, Tord sat in his usual spot next to his friends Edd and Matt. "Hey, Tord!" Edd greets as Tord walks into the room.
"Todd!" Matt says, "I forgot to give you this the other day! It got stuck at the bottom of my bag!" Matt hands Tord a neatly folded piece of paper.
Tord takes it and opens it with a skeptical look. In the most absurdly light pink pen, barely distinguishable from the paper, read Matt's hard to decipher cursive writing. Edd takes the paper and crumpled it when Matt wasn't paying attention, and whispers to Tord, "Don't even try reading it.., it's for his birthday party."
"Birthday party? What are you, nine, Matt?" Tord says, snickering.
"A person as handsome as myself deserves to be celebrated as much as possible! Plus it means free cake! For us at least!" Matt says, his eyes sparkling as he mentions cake.
"Just go with it." Edd says, shrugging.
"HEY! What's with all the hubbub over there? I'm trying to sleep!" Yelled the angry substitute teacher who was in place for the teacher usually in this room.
"It's homeroom, no one doesn't not talk!" Someone says back.
The substitute throws one of those big, pink erasers (for really big mistakes!) at the kid instead of responding.
So Pau and Pat are married and are Tord's parents, but they argue a lot and don't get along that well most of the time. The only reason they're still together is for Tord's sake at this point.
Tord, Tom, Edd, and Matt are all friends, and Tord and Tom, unlike most stories like this, are already a thing.
