Time Bound (TomTord Fanfic)

Nearly at the end! Wow!

It had been several days, Tom and Tomatoredd had found what they had needed, and Bing had made him yet another time traveling watch. Now he just need Tord and the Red Leader together in one area again..

Tom was running back through the streets he had run through to find Bing not long ago, not having a clue where he'd find Tord at. He could be quite literally anywhere; the Red Leader would be easier to find, though.

"Maybe the others have seen him.., perhaps..," Tom says, thinking out loud. He starts heading towards the secret base beneath a building that all his friends had been a part of- until half of them died, that is.

He hadn't been there in a while, nor seen any of them in even longer, but that was very typical of him. He didn't stay in one place too long, usually. Someone was usually inside the building at all times, even if just one person was. He had crawled through the annoyingly small tunnel, and was walking through the empty rooms until he reached what they liked to call "the living room".

Eduardo and Yuu were both there, looking about ready to attack whoever they'd heard in the tunnels, but dropped what they were holding when they saw Tom. "TOM!?"

"Uh..? Hi?" Tom says as the two suddenly crowd around him.

"We were told you'd been shot by the Red Leader!" Eduardo says, "How'd you get away from him!?"

"You know those fusions Bing had? One of them showed up and saved me, actually." Tom briefly explains, then realizes, "Wait.., who told you that? Did you guys see Tord?? Where is he!?"

"We don't know where he is now." Yuu says bitterly. "Just like the Red Leader, he's a sneaky, little fox and ran off at some point."

Tom groans, "Ugh.., now I have to find him all over again..."

Tom jumped when Mark spoke, as he hadn't noticed him enter the room, "I suggested he ask Pau. I'd guess he's found him by now."

"Pau, huh? That would mean he's inside the Red Army's base then..," Tom concludes, trailing off.

Tord left the RAHQ behind him, and once far enough away, disgustedly tore the uniform off himself. He put his hood back up for good measure, and then kept going on his way. He heard footsteps quickly coming closer to him, and nearly choked when he looked it; Tom was about to run past him. His digital eyes flicked over to him and he abruptly skidded to a halt, "T-TOM!?" Tord says in confusion, hugging him.

"But I thought- I heard the gun- Why are you alive?" Tord asks, nearly facepalming at his final question as he pulls away from the other.

"Someone helped me escape." Tom says simply, "I've also got a way back to the past again." Tom says, "But we need the Red Leader, still..." Tom murmurs.

"Huh? Why do we need him?"

"..No time to explain!-" Tom says instead, grabbing Tord's wrist and dragging him with him back towards the base he just left.

"I just left that stupid place!!" Tord complains, following Tom. When they arrived at the main gate, there was but the one, singular guard there, eyeing them suspiciously.

He pulled his gun off his back and aimed at the two in warning, "Halt! State your business, or go away!"

"We're here to speak to Tord, and I'm not letting some gate punk stop me." Tom growls menacingly at him.

"Wait! You can't just walk in like-!" The guard starts, but Tom interrupts him.

"I'm quite sure you know who I am. I don't really think it's fair for you to stop me at the gate." Tom says, walking straight past him, dragging Tord. In bewilderment, the guard slowly turned his back to them and ignored the strange situation.

They were given questioning looks, but by how casually Tom was pulling Tord with him, others would assume they hadn't technically snuck in, and the gate guards had let them pass for a reason. They went to the elevator and all the way back down to level -6.

The moment the elevator door opened, Tom shouted at who ever was in the room, "Where's the Red Leader!?"

They all turned their heads to him in surprise at his entrance. Tord saw Pau was among them now, looking more confused than anyone else. Everyone seemed to still as a pair of boots clunked down the hall; they all seemed to know it was the Red Leader before he showed up in the room, "Oh.., you." He says, almost in disappointment. "So you've come back to me yet again?"

"I want nothing to do with you." Tom says.

Tord rolled his eyes and then said, "All of you. Leave. I'd like to have a little.., chit chat with these two.." And before long, they were the only three on the entire floor.
