Tord went back to school again after any of the minor injuries he'd acquired from the Red Leader had gone away. He was clinging to Tom's arm, making annoying noises to annoy him as he'd usually do when they ran into Edd and Matt, who both stopped in their tracks when they saw who they thought had been long dead by this point.

"Todd!" Matt says almost instantly, tackling his friend into a hug.

"It's Tord, Matt!" Edd says, correcting Matt as he joined his sudden hug.

"Perhaps you don't think I kidnapped and killed him now?" Tom says spitefully, glaring at the wall.

"They thought you killed me..?" Tord questions as they stop hugging him, "Why the heck would you do that?" It doesn't make sense now, Tord thought to himself, but it would in that future.

"Edd told me you did! Why wouldn't I believe Edd!?" Matt quickly says, rapidly shaking his hands.

"-Why don't we not talk about this anymore, ever again?" Tord suggests.

"Okay.., and I'm sorry Tom. It just seemed really suspicious..?" Edd says, sighing and hanging his head slightly.

"Yeah, whatever." Tom mumbles, acting as he usually would.

-

Tom hadn't seemed to really think much of Tord saying their future selves were dead, and that he'd technically killed both if you think about it for a second.

They were sitting together on Tord's bed, Tord in Tom's lap and leaning into him while Tom had his face in Tord's hair. He couldn't believe it had been two months Tord had disappeared, and he was mostly okay, it seemed.

"Thooomaaaasss." Tord says, being annoying again, "Did you miss me?" This was probably the hundredth time he's said that since he got back, as if annoying Tom was his new favorite thing to do.

"If anyone I knew disappeared for two months like that, I would. Of course I did." Tom mumbles, too tired to roll his eyes at him or shove him lightly like he'd usually respond to that with.

Tord turned around slightly so he was looking at Tom now, "You know the worst part about that entire time for me?"

"What?"

"I never found out why you had weird goggles on the entire time I saw you. ..Or why you suddenly dressed a lot fancier than what you're wearing now." Tord responds, motioning to Tom's old, blue hoodie he'd had for years now.

"Oh shut up. If it really was the future, we'll find out eventually, right?"

"What about the whole future me kilking future you thing?"

"I mean.., you literally killed yourself afterwards, you said, right? I think knowing that happened, or why we hated each other, woukd help prevent that now, if you ask me." Tom says, closing his eyes, "Also, you don't seem to like this future self of yours, so I don't see how it would now."

"Ugh.., sounds all time paradox-y now." Tord complains to himself, now just getting confused the longer he thought about everything, "Then is that future fake now if it won't happen?"

"I'm too tired for your bull shit. Shut up." Tom says, hitting the side of Tord's head lightly and putting his face back in his hair.

"Fiiiine." Tord says, "Whatever you wish, no eyes." He says, laughing to himself as Tom hits him again.

The end!
There's only one more chapter left; a short epilogue! I'll leave a proper ending message on that one, if you're one of those people who like reading author notes!
