Tord stared wide eyed at his first glimpse of the future. This was where Matt's house was, except that the entire neighborhood was leveled to dirt, dust, and gravel. Out in the distance a broken city could be seen; the city Tord had grown up in all his life. "W-What the..?" He says, looking a little afraid of the place.

"Welcome to (Denny's) the future, Tord." Tom says, sighing.

"How did this happen?" Tord looked around. There was barely a sign a happy, little neighborhood had once stood here.

"You wanna know what happened?" Tom says in a chilling voice, "You happened." Tom says, starting to walk towards the city.

Tord followed, confused of Tom's response, "Huh? 'I happened'?"

"I'll tell you more later. Right now I'd really rather not hang out in the open where soldiers will question why we're out so far.."

Tord doesn't respond, though questions cloud his mind. What happened here? How did he have anything to do with this? Why are there soldiers here that Tom's afraid of seeing? Why is this Tom so different than the one he knows? Too many questions, no answers, and if they got answered it'd only make more questions.

..Why couldn't today just be normal?

The pair were a lot closer to the city now, the rubbled buildings much clearer. On one of the walls facing them, Tord could swear he saw old, splattered blood across it. That definitely gives this creepy place even worse vibes.

"You there, stop!" A voice shouts to them. Three people were approaching them; all dressed with red sweaters with a blue coat over it. They also each carried a gun... Tom went rigid before he even saw the owner to the voice and her companions.

"What do you think you're doing? Show us your passes and maybe I'll think about not shooting you down in an instant." She threatens.

"Pass?" Tord questions to himself quietly as Tom stared at him hopelessly.

"Well?" One of the other soldiers say, sounding impatient.

Tom turns away from Tord and shows the soldiers something; Tord assumed it was this "pass" they spoke of. Well, he certainly didn't have one, whatever it was.

"What about your friend here? Or are you sneaking him into the city?" The third soldier says, his eyes looking between Tom and Tord.

"And why does he look.. awful familiar?" The woman says, glaring her eyes at Tord as he took a step back, intimidated.

"Ah.. ha, ha.. I don't know what you're talking about.." Tord says, his hands in front of him as he walked a bit further backwards. His accent got heavier if he was nervous or upset about something. That definitely didn't help him in this situation.

"Search him." The woman commands, the other two soon finding no presence of this pass. "So sneaking into a city, without a pass of any kind, and impersonating the Red Leader. How gracefully stupid of you both to think you'd slip past us. You're coming with us." She says, pointing her gun at Tord while the other two wrestled with Tom until they each had one of his arms.

"Let go of me, you ass!" Tom hisses, kicking one of the soldiers in the leg, though it did nothing.

"Shut up! No one said you could speak, swine." The woman says, snatching one of Tord's arms, keeping the gun to the back of his head so he wouldn't try escaping, and leading the group elsewhere.

After a lot of Tom's swearing and kicking, they soon saw a massive building in the distance amongst the rest of the wrecked city. However, this building looked perfectly fine, aside from it's strange location of both in the middle of a city, and the city was seemingly desolate and empty. "What the heck is this place?" Tord says, breaking the silence.

"Stop acting stupider than you are, especially when you look like the Red Leader you disgraceful piece of trash." The woman says.

"Hey, hey there lady. All I did was ask a very genuine question." Tord says, sneering at her.

"You do not call me lady." She says, sounding disgusted, "You will refer to me as General Adams, and nothing else."

"Then can you answer my damn question, Adams?"

"General Adams. This is the Red Army's main headquarters, you bloody idiot. Everyone knows that by now."

One of the soldiers with Tom said, the second one from earlier, "Like you said, General, you'd think he'd know that if he's decided to look and sound almost akin to Red Leader."

"He's making a mockery of our great and fearless leader just by existing." Adams agrees. (R e f e r e n c e s)

Tom groans, tired of hearing all the bickering go back and forth, "He isn't impersonating anyone." He says simply, knowing he wouldn't be believed anyways.

"If he hadn't been uninjured, I'd have believed this guy to be Red Leader." The third soldier says. "But he wasn't in it to win it, as he still has both arms."

"..What?" Tord says, looking quite concerned now, "Who the heck is this Red Leader, and why are you comparing me to them?" He obviously hasn't figured it out yet, and the soldiers think he's just being a living mockery of their leader.
