when you can't sleep

(Patrick's p.o.v)

it has just turned two o'clock in the morning and i haven't slept a bit since twelve thirty. I simply cannot sleep and i think i know why; Zara.

Zara who is sleeping in the bed next to me has been coughing hoarsely and sneezing like mad has woken me up atleast ten times since the previous night, the best thing yet she's doing it all in her sleep.

Also, i have been doing nothing but thinking about her. I was ready to make my move when she down right rejected me, maybe she done it because she thought we would be heartbroken or maybe she done it out of selfishness and bitchiness because of her mothers behaviour.

i really don't know

But if i could get time to explain the situation i am in maybe we could still be together because i am really in love with her, i know this sounds stupid because well 'Patrick your not real,' but i am sure this may work out just trust me.

"Tissue." Zara ordered in her groggy sleeping voice shoving me a bit,"I need tissue," she coughed. I reach over to her kleenex box and when i turn back she's wide awake.

"Oh, Your awake." i whispered turning and facing her, she blew her stuffy nose into the tissue and looked at me with red puffy eyes.

"You breathe very heavily." she commented, oh that's what woke her up. Well maybe now i can explain the plan to her.

"Oh sorry." i apologised, she chuckled lightly coughing a little then sitting up, I'm still trying to think how i can propose this to her i mean not everyday things like this happens. "Zarz?" i said using her nickname.

"Yeah?" she said glancing at me with her sick eyes, i smile at her because even when she is coughing her lungs out and snotting her brains off she still looks beautiful.

"I've got something to ask you." i said sitting up beside her and sighing and then taking a few deep breaths. "Okay, i know that we've got feelings for each other, and i know that for the life of me i am in Lo-"

"Patrick we've gone through this we ca-"

"Just listen to me Zarz please." i begged her giving my puppy dogs eyes, she sighed in defeat. "i am in Love with you Zara. I am head over heels in love with you and i know like I'm an angel blah blah that cant happen and stuff like that, but what if i tell you that i have This plan that can work for the two of us?" i asked her sitting closer to her.

"I'm listening." she said quietly laying her head on my shoulder.

"What if i tell you i can become human again?" i asked, her head shot up and looked me in the eye she smiled brightly at me and reached up and hugged me

"really?" she asked hugging my embrace, its taking all the power in me not to kiss her right there and then. I nodded. "But how?" her eyebrows knitted in confusion when she asked that.

"Well," i started looking down at her one last time before i finish. "Well im going to be gone by tomorrow night so we have a day to do this, When i died my body was never found it was well i was-- Long story never mind that, but if i can tell you where my body is and you find it I can somehow put myself back in my body and come back to life?" i asked. I'm even confused by that but you get me.

"Uh that sounds like a lot of weird work," she says thinking. "But im willing to do it because i love you too." she smiled, my eyes shot in excitement.

she leaned in and pressed her lips against mine, oh this is her first kiss make it special. I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her in more our lips moving in sync. We continued this passionate kiss when Zara Pulls away gasping for air.

"I have wanted to that for so long." she smiled biting her lip looking me in the eyes, she leaned in again pecking my lip softly.

"Ditto." i laughed, which caused her to laugh.

"Oh and by the way I've got the flu and you just kissed me." she laughed lying down beside me kissing my shoulder, i chuckled lightly looking at her.

"Atleast they're your germs." i joked turning around throwing my arm around her waist cuddling into her. "So how was your first kiss?" i asked.

"Eh it was alright." she shrugged jokingly,"could do better." she laughed.

"Oh really? Well how a bout this then." i said kissing her and then tickling her at the same time causing her to giggle.

"Stop, my mother will hear." she laughed.

"Good." i laughed kissing her some more. "Oh i love you."

"Love you too, 'Trick." she winked at me then snuggling down into me,"We've got a big day ahead of us tomorrow, you gotta get some sleep." she ordered like a mother, i smiled at her pecking her one last time before heading off to sleep.

"Night Zara," i said.

"Night trick, I love you, again. " she said into my neck kissing it gently.

"Love you too."

and then we were out for the count.

*Next day.*

(Zara's p.o.v)

i was being woken up by small kissing being placed on my lips, i smiled a little remembering all of last nights encounters. "Wake up Zarz," Patricks morning voice said, that is one heck of a sexy voice.

"Morning." i smiled at him reaching my arms out pulling him down on top of me, although he was already hovering over me.

"Your mom came in this morning obviously she couldn't see me but she left a note on the bedside table." he said pointing to the bedside table, i looked over causing Patrick to kiss my neck lightly whilst i reached for it.

'Hey Zara,

me and Joe are gone for the weekend there's $100 for you on the counter, Max is in Justins and you don't look well enough for school,so i left you there.

i don't know if we're on speaking terms.

"Coward." i mumbled scrunching up the note, making Patrick stop kissing my neck and look at me.

"What?" he asked.

"Oh no, not you. My mom, because me and her aren't talking shes gone for the weekend." i sighed looking into Patricks eyes, he smiled a little.

"She is, no offence." he admitted leaving a kiss on my nose,"Come on we've got a big day ahead of us." he said getting up off the bed and pulling me with him.

oh poop i forgot about today.

"Oh yeah," i said remembering making Patrick laugh, "Today is when the man i love is finally able to meet the family without disappearing." I joked causing Patrick to laugh.

"Love you sweetheart." he said giving me a light peck before running downstairs.

"Love you too Babe!" i shouted after him.

Now what to wear?
