Chapter 4: What Happened to Aleia?

The moment I wake up, I smell a familiar perfume. I slowly opened my eyes and I smile at the sight of him.

Bumangon ako at tinitigan siya.

He looks at peace now that he's sleeping.

The freckles on his cheeks are more prominent now that his complexion is whiter. I trace those dots and shout at him.

"WAKE UP, SHIN!!!!"

He jumped out of bed in a battle position and he looks kind of confuse until his eyes landed on me.

"Good morning, Shin." Matamis ang ngiting ibinungad ko sa kanya.

"That wasn't good at all. Geez, Aleia. You startled me." Nakasimangot siyang naglakad palabas ng kwarto.

Sumunod naman ako sa kanya patungo sa kitchen. "Aren't you happy that I'm in a good mood?"

"Do I look happy? What's your problem anyways? Why the hell did you wake me up brutally?" Sabi ni Shin habang naghahanda na para magluto ng almusal.

"I have a photoshoot today so..."

Humarap sa akin si Shin nang nakapamewang with matching spongebob designed apron. "Ahhh... kaya pala andito ka din sa Heroine. You're gonna make me your chauffeur again?"

"Oh, please! This is pure coincidence." Sabi ko habang nakangisi kaya naman mas lalo siyang naasar.

"I'll let you borrow my car so you can drive yourself to your photoshoot venue." Sabi niya habang nilalagay sa plato ang omelette.

"Shin?" Lumapit ako sa kanya at niyakap siya sa likod.

Nilingon niya ako nang bahagya at saka ako nagpuppy eyes. "Pretty please, Shinji?"

He rolled his eyes and grunt. "Yeah whatever just please stop doing that. You disgust me!"

Tumawa lang ako ng malakas. "Thankie! You're the best!"

We ate breakfast together and then speed off to the venue, Makati.

Pagdating namin sa studio ay nakaready na ang mga staff at ang mga co-models ni Aleia.

"Aleia! Finally!" Palatak ng photographer.

"You know me, Kevin. Fashionably late as ever." Sagot naman ni Aleia at pumwesto na sa dresser para ayusan.

Aleia is the heiress of Cruz Voyage. It's a cruising line consisting of ferry, yacht , and even cruise ship.

She graduated fashion designing two years ago but her parents are still convincing her to get another course, Business Management to be exact, so she'll be prepared for the succession of their family business.

Here she is, still blundering modelling industry, hiding from her parents time to time.

Nag-vibrate ang phone ni Aleia.

Incoming call: Old Man

Napailing nalang ako sa pangalang naka-save.

Napatingin ako kay Aleia na ngayon ay nakabihis na at handa na sa photoshoot.

"Hey! Your dad is calling." I raise her phone to emphasize my point.

"Don't mind him. Can't believe he found out my new number again. Block him, Shin." Utos ni Aleia.
