Chapter Forty-Seven

Shaun was upstairs in Haley's room watching tv while playing some games on her phone while Haley was downstairs fixing breakfast since of course her mother was not there. She was at work and after work she was going to go dinner with Victor. As Shaun was playing a game, it started to ring, Shaun looked at the screen to see it read "Darien". He quickly got up from Haley's bed and ran downstairs and into the kitchen where he saw Haley making pancakes. He pulled on her pajamas pants making her look down at him and smile.

Haley: What's up Shaun?

Shaun: Phone.

Haley grabbed her phone from Shaun to see that her dad was calling her, she pressed the answer bottom and put it up to her ear.

Haley: Hello.

Darien: Hey Haley.

Haley: Hey dad, what's up?

Darien: Nothing, I'm just calling you to check on how you're doing?

Haley: I'm doing ok.

Darien: Just ok?

Haley: Yeah.

Darien: Well, what are you doing today?

Haley: Nothing, just stay at home and chill with Shaun, and I might take him got the mall. Why?

Darien: Becuase I'm down here and I want to see you and Shaun.

Haley: Wait, you're down here in California?

Darien: Yeah.

Haley: Where do you want us to meet you at?

Darien: How about Ihop, around two if that's ok with you?

Haley: Yeah, we'll be there.

Darien: Ok, see you then.

Haley: Ok, bye daddy.

Darien: Bye Haley.

Haley hanged up her phone and typed in Dominique's number on her phone, she put her phone on her ear and waited for Dominique to pick up. She started fixing hers and Shaun's plate and put it on he table, Shaun sat at his seat and started eating his food while Haley fixed their drinks and set Shaun's in front of him. She sat down in her seat, just as she was about to hang up her phone Dominique answered.

Dominique: Hey Haley.

Haley: Dominique, guess who just called me?

Dominique: Who?

Haley: My dad.

Dominique: For real, what did he say?

Haley: He said that he is down here in California and he wants to see me and Shaun.

Dominique: Aww, are you excited?

Haley: I don't even know, because I wonder how Shaun is going to react when he meets dad face to face. And I don't now I should feel about it, I mean he left me with my mom and now he wants to see me.

Dominique: Maybe he misses you.

Haley: How could he miss me when he's the one who left me?

Dominique: I don't know, but you should go see him and ask him why he left.
