It had been seven months, fourteen days, six hours and three minutes since the day your world fell apart in an earth shattering heartbreak. What started out as a simple argument escalated quickly, ending your two year relationship. The worst part was you couldn't even remember what the argument had been about. Just that it ended with both of you screaming at each other, yelling things you really didn't mean.
And in the seven months, fourteen days, six hours and three minutes there wasn't a moment that went by that you didn't think of him. You wanted to text him, apologizing for your words, begging for his forgiveness. Then you saw a picture of him with her, the girl that ended your argument. Her perfect blonde hair in loose curls, brilliant white teeth, sparkling blue eyes.
You looked at yourself in the mirror, hair done up by someone who knew what they were doing, flawless make up. Your sleek dress hugged your figure, and killer heels to match. Another red carpet, except this time, with out him. You took a deep breath, grabbing your clutch from the hotel dresser.
"What about me? Don't I get any time with you before you have to leave again?"
Your words echoed in your head as your heels echoed down the hall. You pressed the button on the elevator, trying to push the unwanted memory away.
"Sweetheart, you think I like coming back to around and just leave again?"
His words cutting through any other thought you tried to will to the forefront of your mind, as you descended to the floor of the hotel. The doors rolled open, and you stepped out. People milling about as you lifted your head taking a deep breath as you walked out in to the night.
"Sometimes it feels that way."
Hearing the anger in yours, the way it reverberated around in your head, it was enough almost to bring you to tears. You climbed into the awaiting limo, steadying yourself for a night of torture, pretending that everything was okay, even though you knew it would never be okay.
"Seriously? You actually think I enjoying not being able to see my girlfriend? That I'd rather jet off to go be somewhere else?"
Even now, after all these months you could still hear the tight words full pain. You wiped the stray tear from your cheek, careful not to smudge your make up.
"I don't know, you tell me? Is she going to be there?"
Kaylee, another actress he'd been filming with, and unfortunately had to do press tours and conventions with. Normally it didn't bother you, you could handle the beautiful women he was always surrounded by, except the dozens of pictures from the paparazzi. Chris and her being close, going to dinner, the smile on his face. Press asking when he had dumped you and started seeing her.
"You actually think something is going on between her and I?"
The limo slowed, falling in line with rest. Your heart kicked up a notch as usual with these events.
    "I don't know, is there?"
You flinched, remembering your harsh tone. You looked out the window at the massive crowd that gathered.
"In two years I have never given you a reason to think I would cheat on you, have I? I'm not like the rest of these asshole you've dated! You know, never mind, I'll see you around."
You stilled your nerves, the sound of a door slamming reminded you of the end as you pushed opened the car door. You stepped out of the limo, the strobe of lights going off as you flashed a brilliant smile. Hordes of people, cameras, it was time for the show.
You walked slowly down the red carpet, pausing once in awhile to allow the press the photos they wanted. Pretending that there was no other place you would rather be, while inside you wanted to curl up in your bed.
"Y/n!" Someone shouted above the noise, looking over you saw your good friend and the reason you were here.
Sebastian had asked you to come to the premiere of his new movie. Happily you had agreed without a second thought. You walked briskly over to him, giving the man a tight hug. He was beaming, as he looked down at you.
"Y/n! Sebastian! Can we get a photo of you two?" A photographer shouted, the two of you turned slightly to face the flashing lights.
"How have you been?" He asked, turning back to you again.
"Been good, I'm waiting to hear back on a new role." You responded, fiddling with your clutch. "Can't wait to see your new movie, looks really good."
"Thank you, that means a lot, look I gotta be honest with ya. I didn't think you'd make it, I also asked Chris to come." He told you, biting his bottom lip giving you an apologetic look.
Your heart nearly stopped and your stomach sank. You weren't ready to see him, not here, not on the carpet for the world to see the heartbreak that you knew you would be plastered on your face. You took a ragged breath, you fingers trembling. Slowly your gaze swept across the sea of people.
There across the way was the man you knew that you'd never be over. His dark blonde locks were shorter then the last time you had seen him, his beard was neatly trimmed. Blue eyes sparkled in the ever present flash of cameras. Your breath caught in the back of your throat when you saw him.
"Chris can we get picture of you and y/n?" Someone shouted pulling you out of your trance.
Chris's eyes snapped open a bit wider as he looked around before his gaze landed on you. The corner of his mouth pulling up as he walked over to you, confidence oozed from him as he came up. He looked down in to your eyes, and the cameras seemed to fall away, the noise drowned out by the hammering of your own heart. You swallow the lump that formed in the back of your throat.
"Hey." He said softly, he leaned forward, catching you off guard.
His lips lightly brushed yours, before he back away quickly. He blinked hard a couple times, seemly lost in the moment just as you had been.
"Did you just kiss me?" You breathed in disbelief.
"Uh, no?" He replied, panic in his eyes as he continued to look down in your own eyes.
Someone grabbed your elbow pulling you away, taking you off somewhere else. You looked over your shoulder, Chris's stare still on you as you walked off. Your mind a whirlwind of thoughts as you played the kiss in your head over and over on a loop.
It was an hour later you found yourself in the lobby of a theater, unable to focus on Sebastian's movie. You leaned against the wall leaning forward hand on your knees, feeling a slow trickle of a tear fall from your face.
"Awe, come on sweet girl." His voice traveled to you. "Don't cry now."
Slowly you lifted your head, looking up at Chris, he was walking to you. He didn't stop as he took you in his arms. His hand petting the back of your head as the tears continued to fall.
"Hey now, pretty girl in a pretty dress shouldn't be crying." He whispered, being this close only seemed to make it hurt worse.
"Chris, this isn't how it was supposed to be." You cried into his shoulder.
"I know, god I was such a fool. All I wanted was you." He told you.
"No, I was a fool. To let my jealousy and own insecurities get the better of me. I'm sorry, I've want to tell you that for so long." You stated, pulling back to look up at him.
"I've waited seven months, fourteen days, nine hours and thirty minutes to tell you, I love you. And I want you in my life, I can't live with out you." He responded, his lips finding yours again.
