Your phone continued to chirp in your pocket while your head was under your dash, wires pulled down around your head. You shifted slightly on the floor board of your car, pulling the phone out of your pocket with annoyed grimace. You hit talk and pressed it to your ear once you saw it was your friend calling you.
"Hello?" You said, looking from wire to wire, they make this look so much easier in the movies.
"Hey, so got a couple of questions for you." She rattled off quickly, you rolled your eyes a bit.
"And that would be?" You sighed heavily, realizing there weren't the wires you were looking for muttering to yourself 'wrong wire'.
"Okay, first what are you doing?" She asked, concern in her voice.
"Having tea with the queen, I'm hot wiring a car what do you think?" You responded, finally catching the right two together hear the engine roar to life.
"Uh, why are you hot wiring a car? Didn't know you lead a life of crime." She jested as you sat up, brushing your work clothes off before climbing in the drivers side seat.
"Well, poo happens and I figured how else am I going to meet the caped crusader." You shot back putting it in gear, slowing backing out of the parking spot. "All joking aside, I've lost my keys."
"How you manage that?"
"If I knew I wouldn't be hot wiring my own car, now would I?" You told her, putting it in drive before leaving your work place, ready to just go home a vegetate. "What were your questions?"
"Oh, yeah, what are you doing to night?" She asked coyly.
"Demon summoning, ritual sacrifice, maybe bake some cookies. Probably a hot bath and tv though." You replied.
"Well, Charles has this friend of his.." You cut her off faster then you ever have.
"Nope, not doing this again. No blind dates." You stated, shaking your head even though she couldn't see you.
"But he said the guy was attractive, funny, and sweet." She said in a sing song voice.
"No, not happening the guy your boyfriend said that about the last time was the exact opposite of all of those things." You reminded her, your apartment looming in view.
"Come on, y/n, I promise this is the last time." She begged you over the phone.
"No, you said that the last time and the time before that, not happening. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go break in my apartment on the third floor." You stated, reaching down and untangling the wires before getting out. You looked up at the third story balcony and took a deep breath.

An hour and a shower later, you had just settled on to couch. Tv was cued up with your favorite show and a cold beer on the table, when a knock on your door interrupted your plan of a nice quiet evening. You groaned as you pulled yourself up and dredged your way to your door.
You opened your door quickly your eyes on your friend. You groaned even louder and rolled your eyes over dramatically.
"You have to go." She stated walking in.
"Uh, no I don't." You shot back closing the door as she came in.
"I told Charles you would, the guy is going to be waiting for you." She whined.
"Then you go. And why is your boyfriend trying to set me up anyway?" You asked walking back to your couch, she blocked your way.
"Cause, he thinks of you like a little sister and only wants the best for you." She smiled sweetly.
"This is the last time, cause I'm changing my number and address after this." You sighed walking back to your room to change and put some light make up on. "But, you have to drive me, cause I still don't have a key to my car!"
After the twenty minute drive to the restaurant and the fact the your friend had no clue what the guy looked like other then the fact he would be wearing a nasa hat and his name was Chris, the two of you stood there staring in the window.
"I don't know if I want to kiss you or push you off a bridge." You said softly staring at what had to be The Chris, as in your celebrity crush Chris, Chris mother fucking Evans.
"Can I pick?" She breathed, in as much disbelief as you were.
"How the hell does Charles know him?" You asked, finally breaking your eye contact away from him to look over at her.
"College buddies." She replied simply.
"This is bad." You breathed.
"You said that already." She stated, finally turning to you. She straighten your shirt and took a deep breath.
"Well it seemed worth repeating." You shrugged, looking back in through the window.
"Better not keep him waiting." She smiling turning you and giving you a rough shove towards the door.
You took a deep breath before pulling the door open and walking in. Your heart hammering, as you crossed the room towards him. He was on his phone, his lips frown a bit at who ever he was texting. He looked up and crystal blue eyes met yours, making your heart hammer even harder.
"Sorry, I'm late." You said, the corner of his lips started to pull up as he gestured for you to sit. "You must be Chris, I'm y/n, Charles's friend."
"It's okay, hows your evening going?" He asked, his eyes tracked yours as you sat across from him.
"Pretty good and yours?" You asked sheepishly, beginning to feel like you owed your friend and her boyfriend a huge apology.
"Did anybody ever tell you, your eyes are the most enchanting color?" He asked, reaching out and clasping your hand.

Your friend watched from a distance outside the window when her phone chimed. She pulled it out of her pocket and saw Charles had texted her say Chris was stuck home with the flu and wouldn't make it. Her eyes shot wide as she looked back the window, realizing that was not the man you had been set up on.
She texted him back, asking if he was pulling her leg and since when did he know Chris Evans. Only to get ha ha I wish.
