"Just tell her your feelings. What you really feel— before you leave her." Namjoon said as he messed Jihun's hair.
Jihun looked his father in the eye and nodded. He was about to ask how he told her mom he loves her when the door bell rang.
"Kai! Jana!" Jan exclaimed. "How are you both?"
"Fine aunty. Uncle said to check if you guys are at home before I dropped her off." Kai said goodbye to Jana while Namjoon and Jan looked at each other.
The couple decided to stay for a bit, joining Jihun and Jana for dinner. The numerous calls Jan had made Jana uneasy.
"Jana—"
"Yes, aunty?"
"You can call me mom—"
"Mom— for God sakes." Jihun said as he stomp on the floor.
"Just kidding. We need to leave, my parents had—some emergency. Is it okay if we leave you two alone?"
"I think. Hmmm— let me call my appa. He said if—"
"Darling, no need to do that. You have a thesis to work on right? We'll call Jungkook and Jinri. I'm sure they'll understand."
"Thanks, Aunty."
Jan hugged the girl as she gave her son a winked which was answered by an irritated face.
——
"Where should we start?" Jana asks while she browses her books.
"I'll take the first half of the thesis and you can take the other half or if you want we could—"
"No that's fine."
"I'll collate then I'll send it to Aunty Hani so she could give feedback."
The two worked on silently as they peruse the numerous printed materials on the table.
"You want some coffee?" Jihun offered.
"Nah, I don't drink coffee. I use sugar to feed my brains. I brought some candies." She smiled.
That smile which pierces through Jihun's soul. That innocent eyes crinkling when she smile. That sweet sound—
"Jihun can you help me with this, I don't understand your formula."
Jihun swallowed , "Sure."
Jihun towered over her as he explains the reasoning of the statistical formula he derived. It took him long to finish his sentences because he stopped to smell her hair.
Then when Jana quickly turned, their face almost collided. He was staring at her eyes and lips and boy does he want to taste her again. When she slightly gasp, he quickly moved away from her.
