Jiwon was checking each of the animal in her clinic. She wanted to experience giving birth to horses but since her clinic is located in Gangnam, most of her patient are domestic pets.
Her son has been sighing non-stop while writing what she tells him on the paper.
"What the fuck is wrong with you Taewon? You're like a shitty CPAP machine with all your sighs." Jiwon said as he smack his son. "If you don't want to help me go run to your girlfriend, I don't need your sighing ass here."
"We broke up." Taewon said. "Can we talk mom?"
Jiwon felt sorry, she didn't know her son was going through a heartbreak.
They went to the receiving area as Taewon looks outside like a love sick kid.
"How did you fell in love with dad?"
Jiwon smiled. "It's a long and funny story but if you ask your dad he would tell you that Yeontan brought us together. He kinda wished on his dog to met the love of his life and then he found me."
"We both know that's bullshit." Taewon said.
"I know it's bullshit but it's fucking cute!"
"I wanna know the real story."
"Yeontan fuck the dog that your Uncle Alex lent me, got her pregnant, I chase his ass because I need to enter a competition and then we got close, that's all."
"You're not attracted to him the first time you met him?"
"I was, have you seen your dad. He's handsome— even if everybody knows he's married with kids, there's still quite a lot of woman who swoon over him— he's quite naïve for my taste but still handsome. But it wasn't love."
"So you fell in love as you spent your days with him?"
Jiwon smiled and somewhat she knew what's the question is all about. "Falling in love might be unstoppable but it's a choice to jump and fall. I made that choice with your father when I defied your grandfather. Even if I already jumped, there are still times when I struggle and held on before letting myself fall without a care."
Her son didn't say anything. "It takes a lot of courage to make that jump, Taewon. Sometimes you misinterpret signs and you hurt yourself but that shouldn't stop you trying again."
"I'm not asking because of my ex—"
"You're asking because of Hayoon." Jiwon continued.
"How did you know?"
"I can see how sweet she is, I figure it's only a matter of time before you give in. Are you scared of her father?"
"Uncle Yoongi? Is he scary?"
"He could be. Just muster your courage and jump."
"I'm losing it everytime I remember our friendship. I don't wanna lose that."
"You don't have to."
"What if we break up? What if she doesn't feel the same way and it won't be back to what we used to be?"
"When I dated your father, our what ifs are even more complicated. When I had you, I don't even know if I can trust him to be a father. Which is stupid because he's good with kids. But you should take something from your dad—"
"What? Be clueless all the time."
"He never thinks and just jumps and let everything fall into place."
