I softly knock at Jessie's room. When they didn't answer, I gently open the door and saw that Jessie is pouting while Aunty Amy reprimands her.

"Aunty, uncle is at your room already. He's a bit drunk. He wants us to streak outside to prove that I really love Jessie." I smiled at both of them.

"Are you going to sleep here? You can sleep with Kai." Aunt Amy said softly.

"I didn't drink. I'm just gonna head back to my apartment." I said. "I'll be back tomorrow to talk to Uncle Jimin."

Jessie pout her lips in anxiety while Aunt Amy looked at her raising her brow. "Go with him, I'll take care of my grandson."

"Really, mama?" Jessie said excitedly.

"Be back tomorrow early. I wouldn't let your father get out of the bed until you're both back." She said and Jessie kissed her cheek.

"Papa is so lucky to have you." Jessie said.

"I'm lucky to have him but I know what you want to do and you deserved it so— just go before I changed my mind." Aunt Amy smiled.

——

"We're not doing it." I said as I began to drive.

"Why not?" Jessie said clearly disappointed.

"I'm not your walking dildo." I chuckled.

"I didn't come with you because of that. I missed sleeping and waking up with you. I missed watching you sleep. I missed you." Jessie said.

I sighed and continued driving. We arrived back at the apartment with Jessie still silent. It wasn't until we reached the door that she spoke, "You love right?"

"Of course."

"I just wanna— be sure this time." She hugged me tightly.

"Wanna take a shower first? I need to take a shower." I said.

She shakes her head and enter the room.

The warm water somehow made me feel all the beating I took from Uncle Jimin. There were bruises on my stomach but surprisingly none on my neck.

When I entered the room, Jessie was lying on the edge of the bed covered by the blanket up to her head.

"Jess?" I called out but she didn't answer.

I lay beside her and got under the blanket as well, I looked at her face and her eyes were shut tightly which means she isn't sleeping.

"Jessie, we wasted two years of our lives not talking, can you tell me what's wrong?" This is weird for her to shut me like this, she usually shouts or argues but never like this. This is more of Irene with the not talking kinda thing. "Please?"

"I'm okay." She finally said, turning around and burrying her head on my chest. "I love you. Good night."

I stroked her hair and she hums a bit and I could see she was really trying to fall asleep.

"Don't you wanna do it?" I chuckled but she just shakes her head no and closed her eyes.

Shit. What the fuck did I say? This isn't her.

My arms tried to pull her closer but she didn't react. I could hear her breathing becomes regular and I knew she really fell asleep.
