It's been three days I broke up with Ethan, I didn't bother to go to school, SSCE exam is starting on Monday and the teachers are only revising with us, I feel really down and rejected, I've not seen chioma too, she hasn't called either, I was all alone with my thoughts, I've read heaven and earth and already well prepared for the upcoming exam.

For the past three days i noticed that Kayla, Layla's twin sister has been nice to me, I suspected something but since nothing has happened yet I made sure I was extra careful. My Aunt and her husband are not around, Layla has gone out too to God knows where, I joined Kayla in the sitting room to see the kardashians show with her.

I smiled at her as I sat and she smiled too, there's one thing I've noticed about her, she has being really quiet for some weeks now and I don't think anyone else noticed, she has stopped follow Layla around like a dog and all their shrieking and screaming, gisting has stopped. I wonder what's going on, I looked at her again, her face is dull and she seems lonely.

"Kayla" she turned to look at me "are you okay?" I asked

"Yeah, I'm fine" she replied even though it obvious she's not. I moved closer to her "Tell me the truth"

She sighed. "I'm sorry for everything I've done to you, I'm so sorry" she said and bursts into tears

"It's fine kayla, I forgive you" I said as I lifted her chin to look at me.

"I was just envious_" Her tears almost choked her but she recovered.

"you are beautiful, everyone liked you in school, teachers are fond of you, when your dad was alive, you wear the best and latest clothes, i wanted to be like you, I wanted to be pretty like you, I wanted attention from people since I don't get any from my family, my parents like Layla more and they treat her special, I was suppose to be Layla's sister but she made me her dog, she made me her little sister she orders around, mom cares for Layla, dad is always busy to care about me, you had a wonderful dad that can't spend a day without you, I wanted all that too, I'm sorry... I just realised that I can't blame or hate anyone for my woes, I'm so sorry Bianca" she cried heavily and I drew her to my arms, I patted her back and made her stop crying.

"I'm sorry too, but I don't think your mom is neglecting you, your mom loves the both of you equally" I said and she rolled her eyes.

"Why are you supporting them? This family has only given you pain, she maltreated you, starved you, and made you do all chores! Yet you are supporting them?"

"Kayla, I can't hold any grudge because they are the only family I have left, and I'm still hoping they'll change their behavior towards me one day like you just did"

"You are really a nice person" she said guiltily

"Come on, friends?" I stretched my hand for a shake but she hugged me instead.

"Friends!" She said excitedly as she wiped her tears.

After the show, we watched movies together and when I heard my uncle's car pull over, I went inside my room and she promised to come see me soon. I went in happily, now I have a friend in the house, I won't have to die of boredom again, I read a novel till 5pm. When my aunt got back she called me to make dinner, Kayla joined me and helped me while Layla sits on the couch typing away on her phone, after we made the dinner i called my aunt to serve the food and she gave me the small portion of food she always give me and I went to my room after a few minutes, Kayla came in and gave me half of her food. I declined but she insisted, she spent a little time with me and told me I can come to her room any time I want, before going to her room.
