Ethan's POV
"I think this engagement of ours is a big mistake, maybe this relationship was never meant to work" she snapped at me and gave me back the ring and went inside leaving me in the living room.
"Did she just break up with me?" I asked myself and stared at the ring as if I've never seen a ring before, my world crumbled before me and I went closer to her room and attempted to knock and i heard her crying, I turned and walked out of her house like a starved zombie. I drove home recklessly, I was so heart broken and confused.
"Valerie told Bianca I'm still screwing her? What the hell!" I stomped my hand on the steering as I remembered what really happened that day.
Flashback***
I was surprised to see Valerie at the shareholder's meeting, she's in charge of her father's industry but her father attends meetings. After the meeting, she came to me
"Hey Ethan" she greeted and I nodded.
"Look I'm sorry, for everything I've done so far, I'm sorry for insulting Bianca, I'm really sorry" she apologised .
"It's fine, I just don't want it to repeat itself again" I warned.
"It won't happen again" she assured me and I smiled. "So can we be... Just friends?" She asked
"Of course" I said
"So friendship hug?" She asked and I hugged her . she said she has something to show me. She followed me to my office and quietly sat in the visitor's seat and I won't deny I was surprised by her sudden new found nice behaviour. The Valerie I know sits on my desk or on my laps when she comes into my office. I'm glad she finally understand I can't be with her. She talked to me strictly about business and nothing else, after a while she bade me good bye and left.
