CHAPTER 2: Arrival
——————————

God knows well how tired Killua is at the moment. He doesn't expect to arrive at two in the morning, which is unfortunate for him because he has school on the same day.

So here he is, walking to school while trying to not look sleepy in the middle of the road but his baggy eyes are really not helping.

He senses the stares directed towards him because of his weird body posture and at that moment, he's already starting to regret spending the rest of his night playing rhythm games.

Killua's not the type of person who seeks for attention, he hates having himself under the spotlight. However, this is a situation that he can't really help.

"Take me home," he whines, a cloud of frustration already building up in his chest.

"Well, too bad because nobody's doing that."

"Wait a minute, that voice sounds familiar—Oh my God."

"Hey, white-haired stranger. I'm Y/N, the person we met at the plane."

"Just kill me already."

"So snowflake, do you know where homeroom is—"

"I have a name and it's Killua," the albino says with gritted teeth. He sighs, brushing a strand of hair away from his face as he closes his eyes. First period hasn't even started and he's already exhausted.

Whilst Killua makes his way to his class, Y/N simply twirls playfully around behind Killua, who's currently dying of cringe.

"Hey, Killua. Do you know that you can see your nose but your mind actually chooses not to—"

"Shut up already," Killua growls.

And with that, Y/N zips their mouth.

Although the halls of the school are as crowded as the busy streets of his old neighborhood, all Killua can think of is the awkward silence between the two teenagers. It's like as if everyone around them is blurred and all that's focused on is the tension between Y/N and Killua.

Killua hates to admit it but it feels unusual to not hear anything from Y/N and what's funny is the fact that it's only been five minutes since Y/N decides to stay quiet.

"I can't take this anymore!" Killua yells before he spins around, grabbing Y/N by their shoulders, "fine! Say anything you want, I'll listen to them!"

That's the moment when Killua sees someone else (other than Gon) smiling out of pure happiness.

And he can't help but to smile back.

this is definitely not worth the wait
