CHAPTER FIVE: Frustration
——————————

"Killua told me a lot of things about you."

Those words make Y/N want to bury themselves to the deepest depths of hell right now. It's not bad thing, actually but the fact that they have been thinking about what Gon said for the past three days is just, indescribable.

Amongst those three days, there are times when Y/N would feel her face boil whenever they think about it and there are times when Y/N would decide to shrug it off and act as if Gon didn't say that– it didn't work, unfortunately.

Y/N has felt a lot of things before—happiness, sadness, betrayal, confusion and so on but this is something that Y/N doesn't face everyday. The last time Y/N has experienced this kind of feeling before was like, seven years ago when she had a crush on this–

Wait. Crush?

No that can't be. God please forbid that to happen. It's not that big of a deal. Talking about your friends isn't a huge thing, everyone does that–

right?

"Hey Y/N–"

Y/N lets out a loud shriek. "Gon? You should've knocked! You scared the living heck out of me!"

"Sorry, Y/N," Gon says before he sticks his tongue out while scratching his nape. "I bought a jiggly cheesecake. Want to share it with me? I brought plates."

Gon is such a lifesaver.

XXX

"So you're saying that–" Gon pauses, stuffing a bite of cheesecake into his mouth. "That is what you've been so stressed out about?"

"Gon please don't talk with a full mouth. And yes– that is exactly what I've been so frustrated about."

Gon can't help but laugh. "You sound so different now!"

"What?"

"I mean, the first time I met you, you were so loud and– this is a bit ironic for me to say– a little bit immature but now that you've got a thing for Killua, you sound so cool and collected."

Y/N chuckles. "You might want to take back the 'collected' part you mentioned earlier, I'm nothing but a panicked loser right now."

"Oh shut it, you're a pretty nice person to me."

Y/N smiles. "You promise not to tell Killua about– well, everything?"

"Of course."

Oh God it's been such a long time
