CHAPTER SIX: Their side

How did it come to this?
Ever since Y/N's long conversation with Gon about love, Y/N has been feeling more uneasy around Killua. They would think of lame excuses to not be alone with Killua or simply just ignore him.
They can't help it though. Every time they see the white haired boy, their heart would suddenly beat a thousand times faster than before.
But today–
Today is probably one of Y/N's worst days. Mito suddenly asked the duo to help her buy some groceries in the market. Y/N doesn't mind going to the market alone however, doing it with Killua is a quite a big problem to them.
And now, Y/N has to bear with the tense atmosphere between the two teenagers. At times like this, the first person to speak up would be Y/N, making jokes, telling random facts and all that but things eventually change.
This time, Killua is the one who does it.
"You've been acting weird lately," he starts.
Thump.
"Y/N, is there something wrong with you?" Killua asks as he looks deeply into Y/N's eyes.
That is the moment when Y/N stops in their tracks, taking one step back afterwards.
He's too close. What to do. To tell the truth or to lie?
"No, I'm fine. Just a little bit tired from doing all of the chores," Y/N replies before they smile.
There's a short moment of silence before Killua decides to let out a small hum. And so, the both of them continue their search of food.
