Family Info - The Hails

The Hails is one of the most respected royal families in the Freelands. They have been ruling the Icelands for centuries. Their people are called the Iceborn.

The family's founder is claimed to be the Ice God himself ( as they call him Father Ice) who they treasure and worship zealously in their lives.

One of the most defying moments for the family happened during the Barbarian Invasion with General and King Lance Hail the first.

Young Lance Hail, left the far away Icelands with a Platoon of soilders and went to the Thieves' sea (Then Called Narrow Sea) to help the people of Goldengate defend their settlement by the Barbarians. After a successful defence Lance Hail moved on to help the city of Hardrow from the attacks.
On his road he encountered Hierydor, an unprotected city without walls and priests being its only residents. A city filled with plants and small rivers and temples to the God of Water. Lance feared that such a place would immediately fall under the attack of the barbarians and the monks would be slaughtered. So he stopped there and prepared the city for an invasion.
His fear was correct, after a few days an army of Barbarians began attacking the city. Lance Hail fought with wrath over them and crushed the overnumerous enemy troops.

Hardrow succesed in its defence on its own and its King, Serus Magister, after learning about the young general's brave defense, he awarded him by giving him the title of protector of Hierydor, he also offered him to marry his own sister, Vera Magister.

Lance Hail will marry his much younger Vera Magister. He will also build a palace and a wall to protect Hierydor and officially found it as a city. Lance Hail will stay in Hierydor until he turns elder and will resign back to his homeland, the Icelands with his wife where he will die after a few years.

Lance Hail had two sons,  Lance Hail the second and Storm Hail. Lance Hail on the death ceremony of his father in the Icelands he will meet Freyria, a highly ranked priestress. They instantly fall in love and have two sons, Lance Hail the third and Harper Hail, who are the main protagonists of the story. Storm Hail had serious disagreements with his brothers regarding the ruling of Hierydor and will leave on his own adventure. Lance Hail returns to Hierydor as Vera Magister, the so called "Elder Queen" by her people rules the Icelands.
