2. The Counsil

Harper walks down into the hall and sees Lance and Gere very nervous. He then sees the kneeled man in the dining room.

"You guys are blue. What happened? This is the ambassador?" He says

"We need to get to the counseling room immediately, Gere bring our army's general, Vinco isn't his name?" Lance says

"Yes, my lord... I'm going to bring him here" Here says and sets going. Lance looks at Harper and says.

"This is the ambassador, Harper. He is coming from Strong-Tower sent by the tyrant Cynnon Theeras."

"Cynnon Theeras? This man is a savage. He doesn't  send...ambassadors and things like that." Harper says looking at the strange man staying still and silent.

"Is he alive? Why does he stays like that?" Harper asks.

"He is like that for more than an hour... I think he will stand up when I decide him to take me to  Strong-Tower." Lance says and walks with Harper to the meeting room on the second floor of the palace.

"We are going at war?" Harper asks him worried.

"I don't know. He offered me one of his daughters in exchange... well, his gratitude and friendship from the Theeran Empire." Lance answers.

"I think he is bringing you to a dead-end, Lance." Harper says.

"Why that?" He asks.

"If you deny marrying one of his daughters, he will be offended and create a reason to launch an attack at Hierydor and shall you marry one of his daughters,  you will be, well under his control , He will have some kind of control in Hierydor." Harper says worried.

"Has something like this, ever happened before?" Lance says.

"No, it is something very clever though, if that's the case. Clever plan from a quite stupid tyrrant though..." Harper answers.

"Why stupid?"

"Well, even his name says it. Cynnon means dog in this ancient accent. If he ever wanted just a coin from Hierydor he would march his army againist us. Not making marriages." Harper answers.

The brothers arrive infront of a big wooden door that leads in the meeting hall. Lance takes out the golden key and unlocked the door. Harper pushes it and sees a magnificent hall with stone walls and floor and plants on the ceiling. In the center stands a big round table on upper side of it there is a beautifully carved  chair with a golden pillow, that one was for the king and similar smaller chairs for the rest of the counsil. On the sides of the room a small man made pond decorates the room.

"How many years does this room has to be opened?" Harper asks Lance looking amazed. He never knew a room like this existed in his house and he've never seen it before.

"Last time it was used by our grandfather, when he met with Serus Magister and got the governance of the city." Lance says.

"Amazing..." Harper wanders around the room, he frankly wets his hand in the small pond around the room and sits down on one of the chairs.
