Family Info - The Coshaqs

Far away from the plains and forest of the Mainlands stands one of the most unbelievable cities the world has ever seen. Built on a steep rocky island in the middle of the ocean, there's a city named "Cliffside". Cliffside has no farms or cattle. Fishing and stealing are the only way people get fed and have to suffer the devastating winds and floods the wild sea offers them from time to time. No family could rule those hardened people other than the Coshaqs.

Legend has it that the founder of the family, a pirate named Baron Coshaq, was chased by enemy kings in the south to take his head, the sea was no longer safe for him and decided to let himself be surrounded by the enemy in the steep rock the city is now built in. He fortificated the island with his few men and waited the enemy to arrive. The enemy did arrive but no fighting was ever done, their ships crashed in the many rocks the island had around it and no enemy ever reached Baron.

Realizing that noone else in the world knows those islands as good as him Baron build in this island his gold safe and his men their homes and so, after many generations Cliffside became a city.

The Coshaqs rule the Western Seas for centuries until a new enemy started competing them in piracy, The Volcas. War was inevitable, the first battles started as small conflicts at sea but things escalated quickly and the conflict became a family vendetta, with numerous family members assassinated by one another.

A hundred years passes and the war is still raging. Wildwind Coshaq, lone son of Pedro Coshaq, is taking command after the murder of his father by the Volcas. Wildwind married the exiled queen of Goldengate, Smerna Viriallis and have four kids. Frederick, Niccon, Eva and Wald. But there is a big secret about Niccon's paternity.

Smerna Viriallis tried to find mercenaries in order to wage revolution in Goldengate against the Tyrrant. This is when she met the adventurous son of Lance Hail the first, Storm Hail. Storm agreed to lead the revolt and the two soon had an illegal affair. Smerna was left pregnant and the kid born was looking nothing like Wildwind. It did resemble a lot Smerna's father, Ricardo but it had blonde hair just like Storm.

Wildwind never suspected a thing due to agreeing that he looks like Ricardo and Smerna has kept Niccon's true father a secret to Wildwind.
