Twenty-One

"Back the hell up!", I yelled. "What's your damn problem?", Heather screams. "I'm just trying to be there for Dinah like all of you", Heather said. "Bro, you were never there for her, stop acting like you're good", I yelled. "You are such a liar, this whole time you've been associated with Dinah you have done nothing but get her into trouble", Kehlani said. "Shut up, you don't know what Dinah and I have done", Heather said. "We know she's smoking with you, we know she's popping pills", I said. "You also know she pop this pus-   ", "Don't even finish that sentence", I yelled. She mouthed the rest of the word with a smirk and slid down her waist. I took a swing at her and Heather fell to the ground. I kept on punching her repeatedly. Her friends picked me up and I instantly started to scream and yell. "She wasn't in love with you as much as you thought she was since she's been with me these past couple years", Heather said. I shrieked. "Let go of me! Let me gooo!!" I screamed. "You're all talk, you lame ass, wanna be bitch", I yelled. Heather rolled her eyes. "For someone who claims to be civil, you're acting really ratchet", Heather said. "Girl you were the rebound, you're her damn sloppy seconds, cut the crap", I said. "You wanna know something sweetie, I gave her some of the best time of her life, you brought nothing to the table", Heather sassed. "Uggghhh, I hate you, I hate you, you're not even sorry, that was my baby, that was my baby", I sobbed. "She was the love of my life, she was the one and you took her away from me, how could you do that to someone?", I cried. "She was my everything", I screamed. My sobs were more like shrieks and screams and I could not control it. Lauren came to me and embraced me. I pushed her away. "Get the hell away from me! It's all your faults", I shrieked. "Baby, no, listen it is no one's fault", Ally said. "No it's this hoe, Heather's fault", Kehlani said. "Who even are you?", Heather said. Kehlani's eyes nearly popped out of her head. "Who am I? Who am I?, I'm her best friend, that's who I am, who are you?", Kehlani said. "This whole time you have done nothing to benefit her", Kehlani yelled. "I'm the one who was there for Dinah when she broke her wrist, I was there when she was sick in bed, I was there making sure she didn't get addicted to her pills, I wasn't perfect, I'm not a great friend I know, but if you need me, I'm there, I loved her too, don't get it twisted", Heather said. "Look we're all here for the same reason", Lili yelled. "Dinah was all of our friends and personally, I just wanted to see her win, not end up dead", Lili said. "Yeah stop the fighting and the insults, we're all upset here", Cole said. KJ came up to me. "Y/N, I'm truly sorry for your loss, I'm sorry that all of this happened, but we did try to help Dinah, some more than others, it's no one's fault", KJ said. He took my hand in his. "You are a wonderful person and Dinah loved you, she talked about you all the time", KJ said. Heather sat in front of me. "I am sorry for taking Dinah away from you, you're right, she was always in love with you, and I kept her miserable instead of helping her growth, I'm sorry", Heather said. "Apology not accepted", I said. "Y/N come on be reasonable here", Normani said. "Be reasonable?", I scoffed. "I'm so done", I said. "Y/N I know you're angry, but Heather is really trying here", Lili said. "Oh so it's when Dinah is dead, that you try", I said. Heather stayed quiet. "It is what it is, unfortunately", Heather sighed. "It is what it is?!! I'LL SHOW YOU WHAT IT IS!", I yelled. I pounced on her and began punching her in the face. Heather pushed me off and began punching me in the face. I kicked her off of me and spit on the ground. "Is that all you got?", I yelled. "Let me tell you when Dinah was with me, she was with a real woman", I said. "Oh you're a real woman, cause last time I checked real woman talk with their mouths not their fist", Heather said. "Oh yeah says you, talking with your body not your mouth", I said. "Wow someone's cranky, hey Lauren, when's the last time you hit it?", Heather said. I tackled Heather to the ground. "Get off me", Heather yelled. She bit my arm and I winced in pain. We both stood there breathless. "Look I'm trying to be good with you and right my wrongs, but if you're going to continue to act like a raging animal, I'm just going to walk away and be the bigger person", Heather said. "Whatever, the ends do not justify the means, you can't just do all these bad things and then expect the one good you do to outweigh all the bad", I said. Heather looked at me then walked away and her friends followed her to comfort her. I turned to my friends and immediately rushed to Lauren. "I'm sorry sorry for snapping at you Lauren, you know I love you", I said. "I know mija, I know, that girl had it coming to her though", Lauren said. "My sister!", Kehlani said. "Let's get you cleaned up champ", Kehlani said. We walked inside the hospital and went to the bathroom. Ally took a wet paper towel and wiped my face. "I can't believe you fought Heather", Ally said as she blotted my nose. "Does anything hurt?", Ally asked. "I think my cheek and lip are bruised, but it's okay", I said. "Do you need some ice?", she asked. "Can I get water instead?", I asked. "Sure", she said. "I'll get it", Normani said. "Do I look bad ass?", I asked. "Hell yeah you do", Zendaya said. I laughed. "To be honest, I thought she was going to beat me up", I said. "Me too, but you were a fighter", Camila said. "I didn't know you could fight like that", Zendaya said. "I didn't think I had it in me to blast on her like that", I said. "Yeah, it was surprising", Camila said. Normani came back in with a water bottle. "Here you go", she said. "Thanks Mani", I said. I gulped down the water and finally felt myself start to relax. "I'm lucky my dress is fine", I said. "Yeah", Kehlani said. All our phones beeped once more. We all had grave looks. "It's time", Ally said. "I know", I said.

Meanwhile...

"How much longer until I reach this vortex", I cried. These past few days I've had so much trouble reach the San Jose arena. There are evil me's and enemies of mine everywhere trying to stop me and my body is growing weaker I can feel it. There's not much time left. I was crouching behind a cement pillar hiding from Austin. He was not happy about our last encounter. As I saw him leave I made a break for it and ran as fast I could to a building. I ran up the stairs and went out onto the ceiling. I was at least two blocks from the arena. However, the streets were crawling with decoys. I decided to jump over the roof. I ran and then I lunged myself over the roof and landed on the next one. "That was awesome" I said to myself. I ran again and jumped the roof and continued doing so until I was across the street from the arena. I climbed down the fire escape from the building and looked around to make sure I wasn't spotted. I appeared from the alleyway and ran to the side entrance of the arena. I was about to walk in when I realized the place was swarming with my enemies and worst fears. "Oh no", I said. "What am I gonna do?" I cried. Just then Y/N appeared beside me. "Y/N, oh my gosh, what are you doing here?", I asked. "Helping you get home, and so are they", Y/N pointed to my friends. "Kehlani, Zendaya, Camila, Tori, Normani, Ally, Lauren!! Wow, you're all here, even Tori!", I said. "Let's go to war!", Kehlani yelled. "Let's do this thing", I said. We ran in and immediately we were being attacked. "Remember Dinah, this is your mind, you can do whatever imaginable", Y/N said while fighting. "Like Space Jam!", I said. I made my fist grow big and I started knocking everyone down in my path as I closer to the vortex I started being pulled back by my enemies. My friends tried to take them down. The vortex was starting to close. "No, no, no, nooo", I yelled. I powered my way through everyone and just when it was about to close my hand reached in and everything went dark....

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beeeeeeeeppppp. The machine was taken away and Ally held me while I cried. Heather and her friends were in the room and Lili looked heartbroken. The only one of them I really don't like is Heather so I kind of believe Lili's sorrow. Dinah's family left the room and Masi held Malika while she sobbed. My friends started to leave too, Cole and KJ touched Dinah's hand and left. Lili turned around to leave, but held Dinah's hand before going. Words could not explain the pain I was feeling as Dinah laid there so lifeless and gone. My heart felt like it was melting, my legs were shaking, and my sobs were plentiful. I didn't even get to say goodbye. I didn't even get to tell her how much I loved her. Dinah, I loved you with all my heart. I held Dinah's hand and was about to leave when her eyes shot open and her hand gripped mine. Dinah breathed heavily. "Woooosh, wow, I'm alive, oh my god! I did it, I'm alive!", Dinah yelled. I looked at her in pure shock. Then Heather and I looked at each other in shock. "Heather, what are you doing here?", Dinah asked. "You died", Heather said. "Well I'm alive now", Dinah said. Dinah then turned to me. Tears were flowing down my face. "Baby, my beautiful girl, Y/N I love you, I love you and I will never hurt you again, I love you so much", Dinah said. "I thought you left me", I sobbed. "No, no, no, don't cry my love, I'm here, I promise I'm here", Dinah said. She pulled me into her chest and I held her so tightly. "I'm glad you're okay Dinah", Heather said. Dinah sighed. "Heather, I love Y/N and you have to respect that, we can still be friends but without the booze and the pills and the danger, life is too short to make mistakes", Dinah said. "I would love to be friends", Heather said. "Good", Dinah said. Dinah then turned to me and cupped my cheek. "I love you", Dinah said. I kissed her lips and smiled. "I love you too", I said. "You're my everything", I said. "You're mine", Dinah said. I hugged Dinah again as if I was hugging her for the first time. Everyone came rushing in. "Dinah, YOU'RE OKAY!!", Camila squealed. She jumped onto Dinah. "Oowwww Mila, that hurt", Dinah whined. "I don't care, my best friend is alive!", she sighed while tightly hugging Dinah. "I missed you too Mila", Dinah laughed. "Don't you ever scare us like that again", Malika said. "I'm sorry Mom, I won't hurt you guys ever again", Dinah said. "You better not", Malika said as she hugged Dinah. "Welcome home", Kehlani said. "I'm glad to be here", Dinah smiled.

You guys didn't really think I was going to kill Dinah, did you?? Noo!! She's alive & well, also I hope you've learned some valuable life lessons in these last few chapters lol. Tell me what you all thought. xx
