It was the next morning and I was the only one up by now, quietly listening to the nearby family of birds that were chirping away. Watching the golden rays of the sun pour through the window to my right. Taking in every single bit of calmness that existed at the moment.
I was interrupted by a knock on the door. Confused, I quietly slipped out of my chair and snuck past the trio of kids, entering the hallway. Once I opened the door I was greeted by three familiar faces, "hey there, you must be Star right?" The middle one said to me, extending his hand out towards me. "Yeah, I am, and your?" I smiled back at the middle person as I excepted his hand. "Ah, how very silly of me. My name is Zack Strider, and these are my siblings." He extended his hand out to his left and his sister bowed, "pleasure to meet you, my name is Catherine Strider." She bowed her head slightly and took a step back, "and the person in the red hoodie is Andy Strider, he doesn't talk much." I nodded and carefully looked at each of them.
The first one, Catherine Strider, was around my height with long blonde hair that was tied into a braid and dyed red near the end, her eyes were a soft green that reminded me of a calm forest in the middle of a summer morning. Her outfit consisted of a dark green undershirt and grey jacket that barely reached under her chest, it didn't look like it was too tight on her though. She had on a dark green long skirt that reached past her knees, but leaving a bit of leg open which revealed black leggings, to top it all off was green heels that added a few inches to her height, successfully passing me in height. "Are you checking me out?" Catherine asked with a smirk, which made me realize what I was doing and blush. "Uh, sorry. Force of habit." I said with an awkward laugh and scratching the back of my head.
I turned my attention to Zack Strider and he just stretched out his arms, "go ahead. I won't stop you." I laughed and studied him closely. He looked like the serious, but fun type of person. His hair was golden like the rising sun on the summer solstice and he wore it down so it fell past his shoulders and reached the top of his chest. His eyes were a very similar color to his sister, but they had a sort of flame in them that I couldn't exactly put my finger on it. They shined a bright yellow while keeping their forest green color. Zack had on a yellow tank top with an unbuttoned golden jacket that fell past his hips and clipped onto this tank top. It was obvious he had a six pack underneath and he stood about a foot taller than me. He had blue jeans that hugged him tightly, although at the same time was loose, if that made sense. To top it all off he wore just a normal pair of black sneakers.
I turned over to Andy Strider and there wasn't much to describe about him. His facial features were hidden under that heavy hood of his blood red jacket, but I could assume he also had green eyes and golden hair, just wearing his hair short unlike the others. All he wore to protect his middle was his blood red jacket that he left open and flowed lightly in the air. His middle wasn't as impressive as his brother's, but his muscles were alot more noticeable than Zack's. He also had on a blood red scarf that was tied around his neck once and was now flowing in the warm air, it could easily reach his ankles. He wore a pair of blood red jeans that was a similar shade as his jacket and it also hugged him tight, he tucked it into a pair of black combat boots. The only thing that his hood revealed was his mouth, and it was in a serious frown, if that made sense.
"So how can I help you?" I said as I moved to the side, inviting them in. "Well, we just heard people were staying here, so we decided to drop by." Catherine said as they walked past me with me close behind them. "Anyway, I heard from a friend of mine that your part of Neo Generation, is that true?" Zack said as he looked over his shoulder at me. I nodded and sat down on a stool on the opposite side of them. We decided to stay in the kitchen since the living room was occupied.
"Well, congrats on dealing with Dark Union, but to be completely honest we could've easily dealt with them." Zack said with a confident smile. "I don't think you could have, with all due respect I call BS on that." I told him, which he countered with a simple smile. "Only joking, I just wanted to see that flame in your eyes," I gasped quietly and stared at him, "everyone I spoke to said you had a flame in your eyes when they had a cardfight with you, and I could see what they all meant." Zack finished his thought with him closing his eyes and crossing his arms.
"Anyway, we didn't only stop by to say hello, we actually came to invite you over to our place for the afternoon." That caught me off guard, making me give a little head tilt. "See, I'm not sure you know us, but we're Team Destiny, the world champions. We live just up the road in that big house you passed by on your way up here, and we thought we'd just invite you." Catherine said with a head tilt and smile, all while closing her eyes.
I thought about it for a few seconds before letting out a sigh, "okay, I'll see if they want to come. But I'll definitely be there." I told them, "perfect, can't wait to see you for our mirror match, and if Neo Generation wants to head down to the beach later, make sure to pack for that as well." Zack said before walking off with his two siblings following him. All of them were walking so confidently, and that's when I finally processed his words, "wait? He also plays Gurguit?"
