The house was quiet and all the lights were flipped off, leaving Star in the dark cloak of the night. Star stared out into the sky as he fondled the amulet resting around his neck, memories of his caring step father flowing throughout his head.
Snow: "What are you doing out here? It's cold."
Star quickly slipped the amulet back under his shirt and stood up, turning to face Snow.
Star: "Sorry, I was just remembering things."
His eyes looked distant, completely void of all emotions. Snow let out a disappointed sigh and walked up to him, grabbing the hem of Star's white cloak and pulled it down so he was at her level.
Snow: "Listen Star, if something is bothering you you can always tell me, you know that right?"
Snow's heart started accelerating in speed as she stared deeper into the endless, snow cold orbs that replaced the pure white Star once had. Snow let out a sigh and started walking back inside the house, that's when Star snapped back to his senses and reached out, grabbing Snow's arm softly.
Star: "Sorry Snow, I know I can trust you and I'd happily give away my life to make you happy, but I'm fine, just a bit tired."
The loving look in Star's eyes reappeared with flames and his smile loosened into a soft smile, he pulled Snow into a warm embrace and gently nuzzled his head in her hair. Snow contently sighed and nuzzled up in his chest, inhaling the scent she was familiar with.
Star: "Do you forgive me? I don't mean to hurt you."
Star whispered into her ears, slowly nibbling them, causing Snow to blush and shove him away. Star let out a soft laugh and placed a hand on the top of her head, his eyes closing to a half lid.
Snow: "Fine, I guess I can forgive you this once."
Snow looked away, clearly embarrassed by her boyfriend. There was a long pause between the two as they both stared up into the moon before Snow looked up at Star and his shimmering hair that caught the moon's light perfectly.
Snow: "Say Star?"
Star turned down to look at her and let out a 'hm'.
Snow: "Why do you stay here? You don't look like the type to hurt people and most certainly we don't give you anything of importance."
Snow cocked her head sideways and looked up at the white haired wonder, confused by why he was still here. From the time Snow knew him he didn't hold grudges and was an understanding person, so why would he stay here and not go back to his true friends.
Star: "Really? Don't you know?"
Snow was taken aback by the reply and thought "Should I know?"
Star: "The reason I stay is because of you, sure, I loved Skye and even know a huge chunk of my heart and mind tell me I still love her, but I'm not about to abandon someone. Especially if I'm the only person they trust, plus, I love you with all my might."
There was that smile again, the one that melted Snow's frozen heart to it's core. She felt bad for what Requiem did, and she was sure that if Skye and Star went back together they'd be a better couple, especially because of how much Snow has opened Star up.
Snow: "That's it, I have to break up with him, Skye deserves him more than-"
Snow's heart stopped for a hot second and the air around her suddenly paused, Star's face stuck in a permanent smile.
Snow: "W-What? Star? Star!?"
Snow was about to step towards Star but was stopped by a blur appearing in front of her and Requiem standing in between her and Star.
Snow: "R-Requiem, you scared me."
Snow let out a huge sigh of relief and smiled, but all that faded when the air around her shifted to that of hostility and Requiem's pupils becoming purple.
Requiem reached out and grabbed Snow by the neck, holding her up with some inhuman strength and smashing her against the wall. Snow struggled for air as she was forced to stare into Requiem's murderous glare.
Requiem: "Remember Snow, I could crush you in a second. I'm also the one that promised you that I'd let you see your brother again, and that won't happen if you tell Star to leave."
Requiem paused for a second before smirking.
Requiem: "On second thought, if you tell Star to leave and what happened I'll let you see your brother, I'll send you to him."
Snow's eyes widened and she struggled against his cold grip, attempting to kick him but her strength was failing her.
Requiem: "Star is important to my real plan, and I won't let teenagers fail my plans again. Keep in mind, I hold your life now."
He jabbed Snow in the stomach as he let her fall out of his grip and disappeared faster than she could even process.
One second Snow was suspended in the air and the next she was standing in front of Star with a horrible feeling in her chest.
Snow collapsed to the floor clutching her chest and groaning out in agony. Star immediately fell to his knees at Snow's side and pulled her into his arms.
Star: "Snow! What's wrong?"
Star's eyes were wide and his voice was shaky, on the brink of breaking. Snow looked up at her boyfriend, trembling both in pain and fear of Requiem, but she eventually pushed past the pain and stumbled up.
Snow: "N-Nothing to worry about, how about we just go back inside, okay?"
Star wasn't convinced, although he wasn't about to force the answer out of her so he dropped it and nodded. Watching her stumble inside, then she paused and looked over her shoulder.
Snow: "I got an idea, let's have a quick fight."
Snow put on a false smile that was obvious to Star, but he accepted it nevertheless.
With that done, Snow stumbled inside and went to grab her deck while Star stood outside, thinking to himself.
Seth: "Star, something doesn't feel right."
Star had a mini heart attack and spun around, his eyes falling on the Dark Union leader.
Star: "I thought you said you were done with me until I grew up."
Star crossed his arms and glared deep inside Seth's very spirit.
Shadow: "Just shut up for once Star and listen!"
Once again, Star jumped and turned to face the mysterious spirit that hides in his soul. Star blushed and shut his mouth.
Seth: "Thanks Shadow, and I know what I said but I don't have time to be petty."
Seth looked past Star and into the house, narrowing his eyes.
Seth: "The most important thing Star is that you don't trust Requiem, Shadow and I are going to be going somewhere for a while, stay safe."
