The sound of birds chirping in the distance caused a certain white haired teenager to stir in a queen sized bed. Star let out a yawn and looked down to see another white haired teenager snuggled up against his chest. Star let out a content sigh and ran his right hand through her hair before detaching himself from her.
Star quickly threw on a baggy white t-shirt and blue jeans before stepping out of the room he shared with Snow. It has been about a week since he abandoned Neo Generation and a week since he began his training with Requiem to control D.I. His relationship with Snow had only gotten better as time went on, but he still felt like something was missing from his life.
Requiem: "About time you woke up, you're an hour late."
Requiem stood up from the couch as Star emerged from the dark corridor and smiled.
Star: "Sorry Requiem, but when you have am innocent and cute girl curled up next to you you kinda don't want to wake up."
Star replied, stepping towards the glass table and looking at his new deck.
Requiem: "Remember Star, you need that training if you want your revenge on-"
Requiem started, but was stopped by Star's smile vanishing and his snowy eyes being replaced by purple orbs that resembled amethyst's.
Star: "Don't even begin to mention those people."
A look of rage flared up in Star's face, and from within his mind Requiem smiled.
Requiem: "Perfect, Dark Cipher Dragon's influence is finally breaking him, and thanks Snow for the help."
Requiem stood up from the couch and walked towards the front door with Star close behind.
The two partners stepped outside for a bit, taking a seat on the wooden steps of the porch and just staring up at the sunrise. The air was cool and refreshing, blowing away the morning sleepiness that stuck with Star and lowering his body heat he gained from hugging Snow in his sleep.
Star turned towards his brown haired twin with a look of curiosity, questions flowing through Star's mind that he meant to ask Requiem for the longest time.
Requiem: "You have questions, don't you? Well, ask away."
Star's mouth went agape but Star recovered fast, remembering that Dark Insight gave the user the power to read minds.
Star: "Uh, sure. My first question is why do we use Cardfight Vanguard to fight? With the power we have can't we easily beat anyone that stands in our way?"
Requiem shook his head and turned from the sun to Star.
Requiem: "Remember my goal Star, the goal is to make people cherish their lives more, and using a card game gives them the chance to fight back."
Star nodded and they both turned back to the sun, a golden hue mixing into blue sky.
Star: "a blue sky huh?"
Star started drifting off from the real world and entered his imagination, a world where he truly felt safe.
By the time that Star had recovered the sun was already high in the sky. Requiem noticed Star had quit daydreaming and stood up, which lead to Star copying his action.
Requiem: "Alright Star, we'll try the apple exercise again."
Star nodded and followed Requiem to the back of the house, all the while unbeknownst to a pale, white haired girl staring out the window at him.
King: "Boy, you must really love him huh?"
Snow jumped and let out a small *eep* before turning around.
