"Hey!" Emily said suddenly squirming in my arms.

I set her down before she could fall out of my arms and she started moving towards the girl with her crutch. Her eyebrow raised watching Emily approaching. I moved to grab her arm softly.

"Come on sweetheart, its okay," I said softly.

"No its not! If she's stalking you then it really isn't okay," she said getting angrier.

"I'm not stalking anyone, just waiting for my friend," the girl said innocently gesturing to the door nearby.

"Let's go, Emily," I said trying to pull her away and not hurt her.

It would be easy to pick her up and take her away, but that'd be too suspicious. Need to diffuse this situation. I thought desperately.

"Maybe you should listen to him," she said rolling her eyes, "I mean if you are angry because you think I have the hots for him."

She started laughing and Emily got madder.

"Only the demented would want someone as old as him. Are you sure he's not raping you, sweetheart? I know guys love them young," she said her tone condescending.

Emily was boiling now trying to pull out of my hold.

"Emily she's just trying to cause drama," I said moving in front of her.

"Jake!" Emily gasped.

I felt her presence behind me suddenly. As quick as I could I wrapped my arms around Emily taking her legs out from under her gently. I held her against me moving away from her setting Emily down away from the girl. Spinning around I saw the girl running towards me. Moving to the side quickly I grabbed her hand dislodging the knife from her and forcefully pushed her back. She went back hitting the floor next to Emily's crutch. I saw the triumph in her eyes when she looked at me knowing my actions were way to fast for a normal human.

"I am not hurting anyone," I growled. "Leave us alone."

"I doubt that," she hissed starting to stand.

She shook her hand glaring daggers at me quickly as she picked up Emily's crutch. I moved quickly trying to take it back from her. The crutch was swung and I grabbed it yanking it towards me grabbing her arm with my other hand. She dropped the crutch trying to hit me, but I grabbed her other hand. She started trying to pull away and having enough of her assault I spun around slamming her back against the wall knocking the air from her lungs.

"I am done with this," I growled feeling the anger building. "You need to leave us alone. We will leave soon and no one will be hurt."

"Except her," she whispered.

"No," I growled.

"You're a monster. You're only real talent is destroying."

"You will walk away."

"You will die."

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Emily pressed against a wall. A girl approached identical to the girl in my grip and grabbed her. Emily screamed a gun being pulled out of her pocket and pressed to her skull. I let go of the girl stepping back slowly.

"Abby? Are you alright?" She asked.

"Yes sis," she said glaring at me picking up her knife. "Now monster. We will be going to that park today. It is nice and quiet there. Sounds like a fun family trip right? Running would not be a good idea. Now down the stairs."

Pushing me she made me go towards the stairs forcing me to go down first. I heard Emily whimper weakly.

"She has an injured leg," I said growling.

"She will get over it," Abigail said.

"I can carry her," I said. "She won't be able to get down the stairs otherwise."

"Amanda. Go down the elevator with her!" She snapped angrily.

Amanda was taken aback nodding leading Emily to the elevator.

"Don't you dare think about getting away," Abigail growled to me motioning me to go down the stairs.

I walked down the stairs not taking any chances with Emily's life. When we got downstairs Emily was sitting on a chair in the lobby crying softly with Amanda waiting anxiously.

"You let her sit down? Aren't you the considerate person," she said rolling her eyes.

"Her leg is injured," she said defensively helping Emily stand.

Looking at Amanda I noticed the difference between the girls. Amanda had been the timid hunter who had followed me and lost me in the park. With me leading, Abigail close behind with Amanda and Emily behind her we walked to the park.

This is not good. I'm going to have to kill them. I thought bitterly.

When we got to the park we walked down the path going deeper between the trees. The trees started to become thicker until we came to a small lake. There was no one anywhere near us and that made me feel a little better.

"You don't have to do this," I said. "I don't plan on hurting anyone."

"That's what they all say," she growled.

I heard Emily call out and she hit the ground. I tried to look but felt the gun against my head.

"Forward," she whispered. "What is your name?"

"Jake Binishae," I said knowing what this is. "Taking inventory of the souls you save are we?"

"Oh!" Amanda gasped.

"Shut up Amanda," she growled. "We already knew who he was. The great hunter who decided to abandon everything. You lost a lot of popularity running away and the most disappointing thing to this family name is living like this."

"I knew it," I mumbled sighing.

"Say hello to your brother for me," she said.

"Wait!" Emily yelled. "Please! We will leave the city. Just let us go!"

She cried weakly.

"This girl. Does she know Jake?" Abigail said laughing. "She doesn't know, does she? How doesn't she know?"

She turned me around pushing me back.

"Why don't you enlighten her on the menace she is trying to protect?" she said laughing.

I looked away and heard the safety click. She pointed it at Emily. I saw Amanda jump away concerned for her own safety.

"Tell her Jake," she said angrily.

"Let her go," I said. "She isn't a threat to you."

"Oh, we totally will. Just explain your condition or she won't breathe air again," she said.

Something told me she was serious about killing her, but not serious about letting her live.

"Emily. I'm not alive anymore. I died about a hundred years ago," I said not able to look in her direction. "I was killed one day with my brother. I was attacked by a creature, but when I killed it the damage was done. It drank too much from me making me too weak to get it off and because of that it turned me into one of them."

"That's not true," Emily said not believing me.

"Oh please! This girl must be stupid," Abigail said waving the gun around laughing. "You monsters and your sob stories."

Amanda's eyes opened in fear, dropping her knife and moving away not liking the carelessness of her sister waving the gun around as she laughed. I moved quickly to take the gun from her. A loud shot and a mild pain in my chest.

"Jake!" I heard Emily scream.

I saw Abigail looking at me surprised, but my vision became dark very fast. I had the feeling of fall feeling a rising anger inside of me that wasn't mine. It felt evil.

You failed. I will handle this. A voice whispered.

No... I thought weakly.

I could faintly hear a loud cry and a scream before my hearing was cut from me.
