I know exactly what she's talking about! I feel it every time I touch her. It's part of the whole mating thing. But I can't tell her, not yet at least.

She won't be able to handle it. She's taken us being vampires, surprisingly well, all things considered. As soon as I heard the shower turn on, I moved away from her door. Quickly I cleaned up, grabbed a bottle of blood and went to my room to get ready. I sent everyone a text telling them to pack something to wear to a funeral. Grabbing my duffle I took a few things out and added a black suit and dress shoes. Pulling a box from under my bed, and starting to go through it, and found what I'm looking for, a thick black band with our family crest on it; tucking it into my bag I zipped it up and set it at the door. I'm about to leave for a few minutes, as soon as I opened the door, a loud crash came from her room. Bursting into the bathroom, she's lying on the floor of the shower stall, crying in pain.

Shutting off the water, I gently wrapped a towel around her, trying not to stare at her pale fragile form. I don't want to upset her by staring.

As gently as I can I sat her on the bed, checking her over. "What happened?" "I lost my balance, and I slipped. Thank you for helping me." Smiling at her. "You're very welcome. Let's get you dried off, and dressed." She didn't argue as I dried her off, and helped her dress.

"Why don't you lie down while I pack a bag for you?" Helping her into bed, I grabbed a bad I keep in the closet. I thought about using her, but we won't be there for very long, and it's too big.

She didn't say anything, but I can feel her watching me. "You can talk you know. I'm sure you have questions. You can ask me anything." "I do have one. What is this place?"

I laughed closing the bag.

"THs is the Vampire Protection Agency. We protect vampires and humans alike." "So are there other humans here?" "A few. But for the most part, we keep the humans at the building not far from here." "So why am I not there then?" "Because." I said coming closer to her. "I want to keep a close eye on you." I said closing one eye, hoping she'll crack a smile, and she did. "There it is. Alright the others should be back soon. Up you get." I helped her up and took out here I.V wrapping up her hand. "Until we get out to the car you're going to be in a wheel chair. And do not try to argue with me. You are still too weak, so no arguing with me." I went out and came back with a chair, she sat in it and allowed me to push her out.

I grabbed her bag, jacket and scarf setting them with my bag.

I went into the kitchen and started making food to take with us. People always think that vampires don't eat food, but we do, we just don't have to eat as often as humans. A light knock at the door.

"Come in." "Is everyone ready?" I asked walking out with a small cooler, mom dad and Brian are standing in the living room, each with a bag in hand.

"Son the Plane is ready and waiting for us." I nodded. "Alright." Swinging Beth's bag over my shoulder dad grabbed my bag and Brian grabbed the cooler. Checking to make sure we have everything we need to take, taking hold of her chair, I can feel how anxious she is right now. "It's alright." I whispered in her ear. I started pushing her out the door, and down the hall towards the elevator.
