"It's been almost a week! How can there be nothing? They couldn't have just disappeared!" "Gabriel just calm down, we'll find her." "I just don't understand it. It's been a week, who knows what he could be doing to her. Why does he even want her so badly?" I'm pacing around the room, trying to figure this out.

"We don't know son. We will find her. He has to know her; that is the only thing that makes sense here." Scoffing I resumed studying the map; looking for something.

"That doesn't narrow it down at all. It could be anyone at her school, or around town, for that matter." "It's a start my son. Get me a list of everyone at her school, we'll start there." "Yes sir." Silence as the door closed, I'm not sure who else I still here besides mom and dad, Brian has been gone for a while now, he said he won't stop until he finds Elizabeth. "Son can't you feel her? There has to be something through the bond."

Shaking my head.

"No, there's nothing. We haven't done anything to make the bond stronger. There's no way for me to track her."

Throwing my glass across the room, shattering into a million little pieces.

I can't believe it! I can't believe I was so stupid! I should have bitten her, or hell kissing her would have strengthened the bond between us, but there's nothing. I can't lose her. In my over three hundred years on this planet, I haven't found anyone to fill the giant hole in my heart, but then I found Beth, and everything has changed, I finally found something to keep me here, and I won't lose that to anyone; especially to a little coward like him!

Grabbing a pen I started crossing out places that have already been checked over.

By the time I finished, there are only a few places left to be checked.

Dad's phone went off, turning to look at him, there's a furious look on his face. "What's going on? Did someone find something?" Hanging up, he didn't say anything for a moment.

"Dad what is it?" "They found a body, they don't know if it's Elizabeth or not." "What? Where?" He held up a scrap of paper. "I have the address, let's go." Grabbing the keys we headed out, hoping that there wrong! It can't be. Driving out to the woods we found them quickly. Running up to the group pushing past them.

The body is a young woman, she's been out here for a while, she has the same hair as Beth, but looking at her, I know it's not her. It's not my Beth! "It's not her. There's still hope. I know she's still out there, take her to the proper people, find out where she came from, and find out where she belongs." They nodded. "Yes sir."

Starting to walk to the car, I stopped; I can't go back there; not now, taking my chance I started running through the forest, hoping for signs that she might be out here. There have been so many people out here that I wouldn't know what might have been her or not.

"My sweet Elizabeth, where on earth are you?" I whispered to no one in particular.

I kept running until I came back into the city. Making my way back to the house, of course my father is back already.

I can't go in there.

I can't go back in there until I find something that can help us.
