Her eyes gathered tears as she saw him with someone new. His new girlfriend tugged at his arm and he flashed a pained smile to his girlfriend. Her heart ached for him. He was her home and her life had been a compete wreck since he left. She had been so unhappy for months letting her loneliness eat at her because she didn't want anyone else. She wanted David. 
Little did she know David was suffering too.

David missed her. He missed the way her eyes gleamed with happiness, and he missed her smile when she would do something silly and he missed the way her hair smelt when they hugged. David missed her and he felt like a part of him had been missing since he left her. His new girlfriend, don't get him wrong he loved Gwen, but she just wasn't right for him, she would never match up to her, because ever time he pressed his lips against Gwen's all he could think about was her, and how Gwen wasn't her. Gwen would never be her. He made the biggest mistake of his life letting her go and he was starting to realize it little by little. 

She missed David. She spent the majority of the night thinking of all of the things that her and David had done together. She laid awake all night thinking of him. She longed for him to be beside her and kiss her and just hold her. She felt so alone. She just wanted him. She wanted so badly to just spill her thoughts out to him and let him know how badly she misses him and loves him and how much she just wants him to take her back. But she knew she was being unrealistic. She knew he would never leave his new girlfriend just for her. She could never compare to her. 

David couldn't take the thoughts running through his head as he stared up a the ceiling. So many vivid memories of her flashed through his mind like a home movie. Tears started to well in his eyes as the regret kept building. He sat up and sniffled wiping the tears away from his eyes. He swung his legs over the edge of his bed and pushed off pacing around his room letting more tears fall silently. She was his home. He found comfort in her and he didn't realize but he needed her. She was the only one who could make him feel better about anything and everything. He let out a soft sob as he slipped on a pair of shoes and a jacket. He walked out the door and walked to Gwen's. 

She let another violent sob wrack through her body as she slipped on his hoodie. It smelled of him and she vigorously wiped at her eyes and rubbed her nose on the sleeve of the hoodie. She groaned at the snot trail and wailed loudly. She angrily stomped on a pair of shoes and stormed out of the tiny apartment  to find David. She didn't care about his new girlfriend. She just wanted to let David know how big of an idiot she thought he was for letting her go and how much she still loved him and how much she missed him.  

As she stomped along the road she collided with who could only be known as David. She looked up and all of the air was suddenly gone. She sputtered and sobbed and his eyes deepened with sadness as he stepped back. She caught her breath and laid into David speaking ten miles a minute. the sadness faded from his eyes as a smiled played from the corner of his lip. this made her stop and ask him if he thought it was funny. He shook his head and grabbed her face pressing a soft but firm kiss to her lips. he pulled back and studied her face. she was stunned stupid and wiped her cheeks with the sleeves and looked at him with doe eyes. 

"I love you, You are my comfort, you are my home and i don't think I could conquer this life without you, to be honest letting you go was my biggest mistake and i don''t want to do that again." David spoke as he dropped down on one knee. "So i'm asking you if you'd marry me" 

Before she could get a word in her eyes popped open. Tears leaking from the corners of her eyes she blinked up at the ceiling looking to her current boyfriend of a few months. She kissed his cheek and leaned her head against his chest and blinked back tears. 
She missed David. She was still in love with him but it had been years, she had met Tyler about five months after their breakup, and things went on from there but she knew he would never be David but she needed to somehow move on from him. He was her soulmate but she wasn't his.
