"Jace!" I grabbed the front of the big-eared boy's coveralls while shaking him as I was panicking. "I need your help, or Vasco's going to die!"
"What?!" He went wide-eyed and was panicking as much as I was now. "What happened?! Where is he?!"
"He's fine....for now, but my grandpa found out I have a boyfriend! Oh, God, he's going to kill him!" I let Jace go to hold my head.
"What?" He then sighed. "It can't be that bad. What's the old guy gonna do?"
"You don't understand!" I grabbed his coveralls again. "My grandpa taught my mother and I almost all we know about fighting! And....he nearly killed my father....what do you think he's going to do to Vasco?! He said absolutely no thugs!"
"Oh, well Vasco isn't a-" He cut himself off while looking over at the Burn Knuckles leader. He was currently trying to stab a straw into a stubborn carton of chocolate milk, and his face of concentration made him look as if he was trying to kill someone. "Your grandpa is going to kill him."
"Help me!" I whined.
"I'll see what I can do."
"Thank you, Mama Jace. Bless you."
"Mama-" And his face went flat. "Please tell me that's not how you refer to me on a normal basis."
"....Only in my head. You're just so motherly to everyone." I then hurried off. "Thanks, Jace! You're a literal lifesaver!"

"Mia...." My grandpa looked at me from the corner of his eye. He was wearing a proper suit while leaning some of his weight on his cane and looking like any other rich old guy, but I knew for a fact he was covered in scars and tattoos underneath it all. He also had a scar on his left eyebrow and on the right side of his jaw that went somewhat to his neck, all of which he had gotten from fights. Not even a few years ago, he had been running a gang near this area, but he had recently retired. Even so....he was still just as vicious as before. "Your mother told me about this boy. He sounds sweet, but I swear to all creation that I will send him to Hell if he's not worthy of you."
I never told the Burn Knuckles this, but my grandpa was another reason I never dated....all the guys around me had been delinquents and members of my gang.
"Don't worry." I nervously laughed, then pulled out my phone to check for any messages from Jace. He had said he had left Vasco in the care of Jay, the silent blond boy from school, and I was hoping, for the sake of Vasco's life, anything Jay had done had worked for the big, buff, heavily tattooed boy. First impressions were important here, and Vasco always looked murderous when he was nervous.
"Hello. Nice to meet you." Looking up because I knew that voice, I felt my face turn red as I dropped my phone, forcing me to scramble to catch it before it hit the concrete. I was internally screaming while hardly recognizing the man in front of me. However....I knew it was him. And this....this was the ultimate 'Vasco Surprise Attack!'
Vasco gently smiled at my grandpa and stood there in a casual blue and white striped suit while being clean-shaven and his hair styled a little differently than usual. He looked nothing like the rough-and-tough fighter he usually looked like.
"I'm Eun Tae." And I was left looking like a fool with my jaw hanging slack. I mean, I knew Vasco was hot as Hell, but Jesus fucking Christ, this was on another level. It almost seemed strange to hear Vasco's voice coming from this incredibly clean-looking young man. He could pass as a model like this.
"Chin-Hae." My grandpa held out his hand for Vasco to shake it, and as the Burn Knuckles leader took one of his hands from his pockets, I finally could see how nervous he was from how he slightly shook.
