  "Here. It's my number. Call me whenever you need me." Jace handed the short-haired girl a piece of paper while blushing.

  "Y-You take this."

  "....You really like candy, don't you?"

  "Oh, there's a story to it."

  "Story? What story?"

  "That's still a secret. Jace, I'm hungry."

  "H-Hungry? Then should we go eat something?! What do you like? It's on me-" Jace cut off when she grabbed his hand. "Y-Y-You- Holding my hand again! We should register a marriage first!"

  "N-No, Jace! That- Isn't that your friend?!" Looking over my shoulder, I couldn't even describe my own reaction to what I saw.

  Vasco was bawling his eyes out while riding on a full-grown bear with cop cars chasing him. There were also bear cubs speeding on unicycles and.... Oh, my goodness, Vasco still had those damn sausage bars.

  "You feral bear, stop right there!"

  "Stop the vehicle!" The cops and sirens were so loud, and they didn't stop until Vasco was in front of Jace and presenting the sausage bars to him.

  "So, that happened between you and Johan Seong, huh?" Vasco had a serious tone. "You had to do my job instead. I'm sorry, Jace."

  "....Vasco, is this sausage bar edible?"

  "A lot has happened to me. Muay Thai promotion...."

  "I asked, is this edible?" Jace questioned again, and I quickly shook my head.

  "Yes, it is, I'll show you-" Vasco went to eat the other one before I smacked it out of his hand. "Mia!"

  "Sorry, my hand slipped."

  "But the sausage bar-"

  "I'll buy you lunch." I stated while slipping my hand into his.

  "Anyway, it was luck Johan Seong didn't have any money. If it wasn't for money, he'd never have even met me." Jace dropped his sausage bar into the trash now that Vasco wasn't paying attention. "Right after the contract termination, he left just like that. I mean, he's the head of a crew. How did he not have any money?"

  "Do you really think so, Jace?"

  "What?"

  "The reason Johan Seong signed a one-night contract with you. For Johan Seong, that money didn't mean much. Even for one night, he needed a friend." Vasco explained, and it actually made sense. With how Johan was, there was no way he'd outright say it.

  "Mm, maybe." I mumbled before lightly bumping Vasco's arm with my shoulder. "So, what do you wanna eat for lunch?"

  "What was with the bears?" I asked as Vasco downed his second glass of milk that left his mustache white.

  "After the train left, I thought I'd take a shortcut through the woods." He replied, and Jace made a concerned face as he listened. "The mama bear ended up taking me in after I collapsed and nursed me back to health. They cared for me until I was able to get back to you guys."

  'He's a fuckin' Disney princess.' I thought while staring at Vasco as he devoured his food. Glancing at Jace, I couldn't quite read his face entirely, but it looked as if he wasn't all too shocked by the story. Had....Had Vasco been taken in by wild bears before?!
