So may story ka na, wala ka naman followers. Sino babasa ng gawa mo? Pag na i post mo ang gawa at nag refresh ka hindi naman ma po post sa What's Hot yon. LOL.
I was frustrated.
Naka ilang post na ako ng updates sa Sana Akin Ka na Lang. Wala pa rin akong masyadong readers. 10 lang yata. Hindi pa nag co comment. Hihi.
So hindi ko pa alam ang mga wattpad groups sa Facebook.
I saw the Community Clubs here in Wattpad pero bago ko yun ginawa, I did try posting my plugging like, 'Please read my story etc...', syempre saan ko ba i po post yon na mababasa ng lahat? Eh di sa mga stories na kilalang kilala at may million reads sa What's Hot.
LOL.
Malay ko bang may mga writers na ayaw ng ganoon. At ni report ako sa Wattpad. Nagpadala tuloy ng warning ang Wattpad. Ang bad. Haha. I was humiliated unknowingly. Maybe because, pakiramdam ko isa akong tao na kakain sa mamahaling restaurant na yon at ng makita na wala akong kotse ay pinalayas ako.
That's how it felt like.
So I stopped from hopping from one story to another. Maybe, at that time I was cursing like WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? Hindi ko alam kung ano ang ibig sabihin non.
I do not think it is impolite to promote stories to other 'HOT' stories. Pero this is my opinion, and that's their opinion. So, sige na nga. Huwag kung huwag. LOL.
It's their only way to catch the attention of other readers. But this is just my view, dahil I was like that 2 years ago. Looking for readers.
So, I resulted to being a part of Community Clubs. And there I was, posting my story from time to time. Until I started to gain followers. Everyday nakikita ko na umaakyat siya. By the time I finished SAKNL, I already had around 1-2k followers.
I do not know the strategy of dedicating a story to a well known writer para maka gain ng followers. I do not encourage this one. I think, this is impolite. Lalo na kung hindi mo naman kilala yung author o hindi ka follower ng gawa niya. O ipa follow mo siya as long as ipa follow back ka. Haha.
So how to gain followers?
Be smart. Promote. Don't stop promoting your story especially if you believed it deserved to be read.
Igapang mo story mo.
If others do not want to read yours, then STOP pestering these readers. Think, hindi naman ikaw ang nawalan.
And just write and pour all your heart sa pagsusulat. Readers will soon realize how dedicated you are in your craft.
