Writing A Good Story

Paano nga ba gumawa ng isang heartfelt romance sa Wattpad?

 

1. Take it seriously.  Kung sineseryoso mo ang pagpasok sa school o sa trabaho, seryosohin mo din ang pagsusulat.  Dahil hindi lamang ikaw ang babasa niyan. Makikita yan ng mga tao. Paano sila maniniwala sa story mo kung ikaw mismo hindi ka seryoso.

2. Write as what your heart desires.  Saan ka ba magaling? Ano ba forte mo?  Kung ikaw ay eversince ay isang Romance storyteller, then stick with it for awhile.  Isulat mo yung laman ng puso mo para mag work sa utak mo.  Huwag na huwag kang susulat ng ibang genre na wala ka naman alam.  Hanggang chapter 1 ka lang at hindi ka na makakaalis pa.

3. Love the Passion.  Writing, just like teaching, is a passion.  You can never write kung wala kang passion sa pagsusulat.  Kung gusto mo lang subukan na sumikat, wag ka na magsulat.  HINDI KA TATAGAL SA INDUSTRIYA kung ang gusto mo lamang ay sumikat.  READERS WILL SOON NOTICE THAT YOU ARE JUST COPYING WORKS FROM OTHER AUTHORS, OR YOU WATCHED IT FROM MOVIES, TELESERYE etc.  Maybe, it will work for awhile, but remember this.  If you are going to be popular because of these copied works of yours, the more there will be a chance that these readers who read your stories stumbled the stories kung saan mo kinuha yan.  LOL.  Ang READERS AY CRITIC and definitely, sila yung mga BOOK LOVERS.  KAYA MALAMANG NABASA NA NILA KUNG SAAN ANG STORY NA YAN.  If you have the passion in writing, kahit cliche pa yan, kayang kaya mong gawan ng sarili mong twist and turn ang story.  Readers will recognize it.

 

4. Think Outside the Box.  So walang story na original.  I quite agree.  Wala talagang story na original lalo na kung nasa Romance Genre ka, naku.  Halos pare pareho ang story, best friends turn to lovers, lovers became enemies, revenge, set up marriage, playboy fell in love with a not so pretty girls, rich to rich people etc...dami ng ganyan na I am sure nabasa na nating lahat.  So, what you are going to do is: THINK DIFFERENTLY.  Hindi ko sinabing ibahin mo ang trail.  Yung tipong at the end hindi si rich male protagonist ang nakatuluyan kung hindi ang hardinero niya.  Naku, baka patayin ka ng readers. Haha. Just feel the story and be open to different kind of possibilities.

5. Do not Write if You Don't Feel like Writing.  Naman.  Wag ipilit.  Hindi ka lalabasan ng ideya sa isang pilit na update dahil lamang sa sinabi ng mga readers mo, 'Hoy bruha ang tamad mo mag update ka naman', o 'Ano ba yan, hindi na kita ifa-follow kasi ang tagal mo mag update!  Inaabot ng million years!'  Definitely, ang isang pilit na update ay malalaman ng readers.  Ramdam nila ang writer thru the way she writes.  So, don't push it.  Write when you feel like writing.

6.  Write as if You Are the Only Reader.  In short, do not write to please the readers.  Write as if you are the reader who will read your story.  Kung mabubuhay ka sa pagsusulat dahil gusto mo i please ang 100 followers mo, then you are going to be an EPIC FAIL.  Yeah, right.  You will definitely, FAIL.  We cannot please them all!  LOL.  Don't be fucking ridiculous, thinking and aspiring of pleasing your readers.  Kahit gaano kaganda sa iba ang story mo, hindi lahat sila makaka appreciate.  At the end, you will end up frustrated lalo na kung makakabasa ka ng comment na bakit ganon ang pangit.  Ganon talaga eh.  Yun ang naisip mo.  Yun ang tingin mo na dapat maging end result ng mga nangyari.  Labas na ang readers mo.  Story mo yan. Ang magagawa mo is to justify why.  And readers, knowing how you believed your story, will also believed your fantasy.

7. Do Research.  Yay.  This I failed, but I really suggest kapag may isa kang info na ilalagay sa story mo, please do some research kasi talagang ma c-criticize ka ng bongga kung hindi mo alam na ang manok ay nangingitlog at hindi nanganganak.  Walang masama na mag research at hindi ka uubos ng isang buong araw para makuha ang information na gusto mo. Be smart.

8. Read and Edit.  Hanggat maari, after posting online at bago pa dumami ang makabasa, i review mo na.  Kasi kahit naman anong sabihin natin na impromptu yan or hindi naman tayo seryoso, ang daming pupuna sa gawa mo such as wrong grammar or wrong spelling etc.. I had the bad experience when it comes to criticizing my grammar.  Hihi. Syempre nakakainis di ba? At sasabayan mo ng sabi na this is a FREE READING SITE, WHAT YOU ARE READING ARE ALL FREE DO NOT EXPECT THEM TO BE PERFECT.  Sarap sabihin sa mga readers yan di ba?  But hey, wala nga ba tayong oras para mag edit?  Meron.  Kung simple lang naman na spelling ng RECIEPT na pwede mo naman ma realize after posting na ang spelling nga pala non ay RECEIPT, eh i correct mo na.  O yung grammar mo na, SHE SPEAK eh pede mo naman maisip na ang pronouns such as she, he, everybody, someone, each, either require singular verbs. Walang masama na bumalik sa English lesson natin especially if we are using English language as a medium of our story.   Pero yung paggamit ng NG at NANG.  LOL.  Ipaubaya ko na lang sa proofreader yan, sakit sa ulo eh.

Kaya don sa nag dedicate sa akin ng correct usage ng NG at NANG.  Pramis, Ibibigay ko na ang trabaho na yan sa proofreader. BAKA MAWALAN SILA NG TRABAHO KUNG LAHAT I EDIT NA NAMIN.

and do not write if you are hungry, sleepy, thirsty, or horny LOL.  Definitely, yung update mo ganon din lalabas. Gutom, inaantok, uhaw at SPG. Haha.
